@BDawg: There's also some videos on the thread- Miles: A Rescue Thanks BDawg - I've heard this before, but this time - Duke heard Miles. It is an awful sound, isn't it? Duke was so sympathetic - wish I could've put him on tape. Just for the record…My girl Daisy (1/2 basenji) surely wanted out of her crate (puppy training) and my neighbors let me know it! (even though windows closed) She is now 1 year old and very-very content in her crate when we are gone. :)

@MacPack: I just gave out 3 nice new 12 inch bully sticks to 3 nice dogs. 1 each, right? Topper took his under the table to chew in peace, Ed left his to go and "dog" Topper and try and steal his. Meanwhile Nicky stole Ed's. We let Ed 'steal' the one Nicky had abandoned. Now Nicky went to 'dog' Topper, Ed grabbed hers again. I took it and tried to lure her away from Topper, she took it into the other room and left it, ran back to sit beside Topper and put her face next to his. The we repeated most of this adventure a couple of times. Ed left his to come and dog Nicky, who in turn is dogging Topper. …... 3 dogs, 3 bully sticks...only 1 dog actually gnawing away happily, 2 others grumbling and wanting the one they can't have. Topper, pack leader, often won't even chew them the first day, lets the kids soften them and then gets serious when they are about half eaten. Tonight he is 'da boss, chewing like a king while his pack sits and drools. Silly dogs, all they have to do is go into the other room and get the ones they left there. Anne in Tampa, MacPack LOL such little toddler babies, aren't they? Don't you wish we could put their name on their treats so they don't get them mixed up?? Ha ha!! Sometimes it doesn't pay to give mine treats - they both want the other one - then we have an all out cat and mouse chase around the sofa. I guess it's their game - a bit annoying for me though. :(

Keoki's sire (Buka) is an Aussie import. He is good-sized, though I haven't wicketed him. But I know he is one of our biggest dog, probably 17.5-18" tall, but very well proportioned. As Pat said, it doens't matter where they are from as to their size. I've seen some really small Aussie dogs, just as some American dogs can be really big and some can be really little.

Neither of mine will catch food, it hits them in the face and falls to the floor too. They're both pretty good at catching toys when I tell them to but do get bored with that game rather qiuckly.

I'm so sorry for your loss. As for your basenji…they are really sensitive creatures, and I have seen them be very "moved" at the death of another basenji in our home, so being there with your Dad when he died may have really affected her emotions. Give her time, TLC, and other wise act as normal as you can. Hugs Anne in Tampa

Happy 15th birthday, Alex! He looks quite good for his age. I think the older ones just have to be monitored a bit more closely for changes in their weight. My Marco is probably about 15 or 16 and I have to consistently feed him more than my other Bs to keep him in good weight. Thank goodness he's a hearty eater and will finish whatever I put in front of him 98% of the time. Pat, your guy looks excellent for 16! He looks much younger. Careful breeding sure makes a big difference. No one who sees Ellie believes me when I say she's 12.

My darling lab/shepherd/airedale mix, Camin, who crossed the Bridge a few years ago used to engage in B-500 type behavior all by herself. If I egged her on with a few play bows and pretending like I was going to "get her," you could almost hear her laughing out loud.

Please, please post the video…I'm already laughing thinking about it. Oh, and BTW, I can understand why you might want to muzzle your B when playing with your squirrel :D :D!

Our Sally Loves it. She runs around like a chicken with her head cut off. It really is cute! She even rides the snow-mobile, or sled with the boys.
