Thank you so much! I stayed up late one night making a gallery to show him off. I know each & every one of us has "The best basenji ever", but mine really is! heehee. I never thought I could love a dog so much, and I'm glad I made that gallery since I'm out of town & its the only way I can "see" him right now 😞

sharron- Diego gets full run of the house for the most part, but all doors shut so can't get into bedrooms/bathrooms. He doesnt do good when you put him in just one room, he tries to get out.. when we bring her home i'm gonna stay home with them for about 3 or 4 days, so i should get a good idea how they are together.. thanks for the help!

There is a Mexican Hairless in my neighborhood and he's got a -40F coat. It also has a knitted neck that comes up to the ears almost. Not sure what brand/type it is, but I can check if anyone is interested… It just doesn't get that cold here in Va, at least not in the 10 years I've been here. If the wax doesn't work, try muttluks…my B wears them. It's funny at first for her, but she adjusts and takes her usual walks with them. Keep us posted on how the wax works...very interesting!

The site looks good this morning. I did give him a Rimadyl last night, since I wanted him to sleep well and not bother the site.
I think now that may have been a mistake.

Maybe a little pain would be a good thing. He's behaving perfectly normally, actually a little more nutsy, I think, after being contained all day yesterday.
I hope he knows what he's doing…....:)

When Lillie had stitches in her paw, I needed to keep the paw dry. I tried everything. What worked and fit the best were natural rubber, waterproof dog boots by Pawz. 12 disposable boots…slips on, stays on. I believe they were around $17.00. Their website is www.PAWZDOGBOOTS.com. Of course, as soon as we came in from our walk, Lillie was trying to get them off.
Another waterproof dog boots we tried were waterproof nylon boots with non-skid soles and Velcro straps for a snug fit. $9.99 They did not fit as snug as the pawz. There is no website on the package. The company is Signature Fashion Pet Collection…#130 Waterproof Woof Boots.

I use a car harness with My isZi because if I don't she wants to sit on my shoulders and it makes it very hard to drive. I have no idea why she wants on my shoulders even if I'm sitting at the desk on the computer she thinks she has to be on my shoulders. I guess because her ancestor's were carried that way?

I think it is the texture of the remote controls that Wyatt likes most …and the game of stealing it. Wyatt likes to chew a lot of things, but that is his favorite. I got the replacement remote control in the mail ($58 :mad: ) and as soon as I took it out of the box he ran up and tried to take it from me, still in the plastic. On Friday, both dogs had taken 4 phone books from the magazine rack and several books from the book shelf and laid them out on the floor😕 No chew marks, just laid out all over the living room floor. I have no idea what that what about. I just imagined they were playing "the floor is lava" game I used to play when I was little:p
