    Does any one know where I can get boots that will stay on. I have two Basenjis in Minneapolis. (I know that is cruel) but here they are and they like the snow until their paws get cold.

    Howdy neighbor - I have tried a couple of different options and none of them have worked. They just lay on their backs and look at me like - what have you done to me - my feet are broken.

    When Lillie had stitches in her paw, I needed to keep the paw dry. I tried everything. What worked and fit the best were natural rubber, waterproof dog boots by Pawz. 12 disposable boots…slips on, stays on. I believe they were around $17.00. Their website is www.PAWZDOGBOOTS.com. Of course, as soon as we came in from our walk, Lillie was trying to get them off.
    Another waterproof dog boots we tried were waterproof nylon boots with non-skid soles and Velcro straps for a snug fit. $9.99 They did not fit as snug as the pawz. There is no website on the package. The company is Signature Fashion Pet Collection…#130 Waterproof Woof Boots.

    @Jarodkjv: Since someone is always home with the dogs a better choice may be the Playsafe collar, it is designed for daycare type settings. It won't open by itself but it has velcro tabs that can be pulled open easily even if the dogs are tangled up. The advantage would be that you could use it to hold them without worrying about it accidently opening. But it's not really designed to have a leash hooked to it so you would have to put a regular collar on them if you were going to take them out. That looks like a great alternative and I do think I'll give them a try. Although the dogs wear regular collars in the house, we always use martingales or sporn harnesses when we walk them. I found the website interesting and was fascinated by the dog cold weather gear. Don't need it here but it was still fascinating.     I got my package on Monday!!! :) I haven't had time to update but Dallas loved all of his gifts! He loved the loofa dog! He was carrying it all around the house with him Monday evening. He & our family dog have been playing tug of war with the rope that he received. Oh, and Tuesday he found the bag of milkbones on my dresser while I was at work…thankfully he didn't eat the plastic bag :rolleyes: The bones, obviously, are gone. Such a pig :rolleyes:

    Thanks for that site, I may order the cooling jacket for my black basenji, he gets really hot and that might let us walk all of them in the summer(before dark). Your harness looks really great. Anne

    I bought coats from Ruffwear for my boys and have been really pleased with the coats especially since we have gotten so much snow.
