Show Off Your Dog

she went from being a fussy puppy to being a puppy that just wants and loves food. if you have food she will do any trick you ask her with 110% enthusiasam if it means shes gettin food lol but i am glad shes not a fussy girl! We are waiting to hear back from the breeder to see what pups are reserved and which arent. Very excited. Hope gets to play with a chinese crested at work and she also plays with another two iggies down at the small breed social i run every fortnight, she seems to know that she has to be careful with the smaller dogs :) shes not much into wrestling with others, more or less just wants to run run run! i will have to upload a video of her and yoshi (the chinese crested) playing at work (the most ive seen her play! as usually its just tag, now chase me!) and will post the link here. In a couple, it shows the white of one eye and I was going to ask if she has a "lazy eye", but then I looked back at the baby ones… nope, just your camera angle and her looking at you a bit from side. Cara has an absolute lazy eye, btw.. so you know why I was looking! I envy you that cute baby stage. OMG wouldn't it be wonderful if you could keep them like that. Give that wrinkly face a kiss for me. Sigh. Thank you! At times it does look like she has a slight lazy eye but mostly it's the camera angle and the way her head is. Thanks all! It's so great to see your dog more than happy doing what he does best! It's a pity Basenjis aren't allowed to run for a title over here.

The question about the doggy smell is a good one - basenjis do not smell like dogs. If you stick your face right into their fur the comparison is like sticking your face into a nice clean healthy cat - warm and not really a discernable smell. Except their feet. Their feet smell like Fritos sort of.

Okay, clearly you knew Kipawa was Scarlett's brother. Well to both of you, Olive (formerly Fina) just left after spending the day here playing with Lyric (formerly Kiki). Her mom and dad had dinner with us while the dogs played and played and played. Olive is adorable as well, but then how could she not be. And still small but filling out, Olive looks just like her daddy Sober. Hug both Scarlett and Kipawa for us and so glad you guys hooked up here. Therese
