I am not sure if the SPCA even works with rescues but it would be good to give a contact in case she gets returned or if the new owners have any problems with her.
How sad is that….. sorry.. I have little time for people that have young human babies and then get not only one dog, but two.... I have had many people want "2" pups from me thinking that they would be "good "baby sitters" for their toddlers... NOT
If no one else says anything,, or has contacted them, I will tomorrow, Monday, September 13th…. :) Even if its just for the information, we should try to find homes for the unfortunate b's.
Hopefully Dixie will find a great home soon. As much as this must have hurt her first human, better to handle it sensibly rather than an emergency trip to the pound and all the pain that would have caused both of them. My sympathy to the first owner, if you see her again. And an "atta girl" for facing a bad situation head-on and dealing with it.
Does anyone know if this dog has been re-homed? Also, the one in Vegas is still listed on petfinder… I hope someone can help that girl out, too.
Thanks to all the Basenji Lovers out there. It is so heartwarming to hear happy endings... :)
@Rocky1:
Don't worry anyone,Dogs are coming home to me here at Jaroufa Hounds.
Richard always knew that he could bring dogs back and his son finally found me.
Anubis and Anuket will stay with me until a home is found or I will keep them .

Are they still available? How old are they? We presently have a 20 month old r/w well behaved basenji that we are thinking about getting a playmate for. Brindle is prefered but will consider another r/w or Tri from as young as a puppy to 2 years old male.
Thank you
Ruben
I have asked the BRAT coordinator to find another foster for Benji. This is just not a good situation for him. Lenny has decided he can not be here.
I'm sad about this as I really want to help Benji, but not at the risk of someone, or a dog, getting hurt. It's not a good situation for anyone, especially Benji. I'm sure it's traumatic enough for him without having to be constantly onguard from the resident dog
:(
