Yes, they are as I got my current Basenji there last year. They just don't get around to updating their site because they're so busy. You have to email Karen Jones and she will let you know what's current.

Is she a basenji mix? Weight is 14 lbs.

Buddy, They won't take the girls to the shelter, they will keep them until homes are found. Both of them are nice dogs. Heinz, it may just be because you are out of state, I'm not sure they are wanting to ship the girls. Beth

hope so :) i try to check craigslist daily for basenjis in my area, someone posted here a little while ago about allofcraigs which shows all the basenjis in the country quite a handy way to look for them :)

OMG Anne, ya think? Arwen isn't a delicate flower at about 25 pounds. Cara is probably 30 nor 31 now (taking in to vet next week to weigh), and Cara is tall. She also has longer body and longer neck so when heads are up she is about half a head over Arwen. At 8 mos old I wonder if I'll have a 40 pound dog when her body matures and fills out! Okay maybe 35. :( Where is my petite 17 pound bitch I hoped to have one day? LOL. Oh well. BRAT takes back all the dogs they rehome for the dogs life. BUT some "rescues" aren't like that.

@Nemo: Unless you have some information on the people you sold the pups to, I'm not sure how you would find them. Even if they are on Sally's database, she doesn't keep track of the owners, just breeders (and that isn't given publicly on the site). You'd be pretty lucky if they were on a forum like this. Maybe post on some of the basenji-related FB groups or pages too? and unfortunately i do not :( I dont know either. I know i talked to sally already about it and she said the same thing. Also she didnt even know the breeder so it didnt help anyways. Ya i would be, thats all there is about it. lucky is all u can be to get information with nothing.ill have to try the FB groups and see what happens. Im not sure but thank you for the help! @curlytails: You could also try Dogster.com. What is dogster.com? ill check it out..i dont think ive ever heard of it before.

Yes, I agree - you are all angels and I do hope that her story will encourage others. I know it would me if I had the opportunity.
