    @elbrant That's how all my 8-some learned to catch. If food dropped on the floor - you lost it ! So they all stood on their hind legs and it was like feeding a nest of fledgling sparrows. A gentle toss of the treat and someone caught it !

    Glad you found us! Contact Florida Basenji rescue, they do DNA Fanconi testing and have adults: http://www.campbasenji.org/ or write flbasenji@earthlink.net BRAT http://www.basenjirescue.org/ And also, please consider adults from breeders who need their own families.

    Hi Jolanda I forgot I was registered for Basenji Forums until I got your email. I will reply to it privately, but I can tell the others on here that health testing has been done on the parents of my planned litter this year. Both have had hips done, been Fanconi tested and had eyes tested. The stud has also had thyroid done. I hope to get thyroid done on the bitch before breeding season. Christine Senjabi Basenjis
