Spencer started squatting after he was neutured and never went back. The only place he will lift a leg is when we walk past a stop sign. I figure that's his peemail site and he's leaving his regards to the other dogs. :) Glad to hear Kipawa has recovered!

We take Harley to Lansdowne Park, behind the baseball diamonds there's a fenced in Dog Park. How long have you had your Basenji?

You are all a riot hahaha. I knew my comment would be appreciated here. I'm just happy he gave in, because I wasn't sure I could keep him if he wouldn't let me have a fence ;)

@sharronhurlbut: How about agility for Watson? My girl loves it and I don't care if she "makes" her own course, as long as she is having fun! Agility classes are definitely in our future. Right now we are working on obedience :) He is a super dog to work with.

Filas are classified as Dangerous Dogs in the UK. Obviously a case of nurture not nature.

There's no sweeter sound than a basenji barooing, especially in their sleep! My first b would do that occasionally. Sounds like Hunter is very happy in his new home!! We were so excited when Zuni started to baroo..Chey is very quiet and Apache just does loud yawn sounds or little woofs. My favorite baroo from her was when she finished one of her straight line runs the first time my husband came with us. When we got back over to him….he boxes her.... she looked up at him and let out the loudest and longest baroo to date! It was SO cute!

There's one that comes to our dog park named Rocket and he's very fast and focused on retrieving. I have yet to see him play with the other dogs. He's never mean or anything just not interested in play.

Debra, the pit bull is the neighbors dog. It was a rare occurance the neighbor was invited over and in his drunken state decided against my worries about Oakley being an un neutered mature male, to bring his dog over. I would definitely agree if it was my friends dog that this happened with, not to bring Oakley.

I would think the hair will grow back - it soundsa sthough you separated them easily before major damage was done. These things do happen and it pays to keep an eye on your dog even when having a chat.

That looks familiar! Cody also LOVES paper towels. We use them as napkins during dinner and if he gets one he prances around the house as if to say "SCORE"! He looks proudest when he has a contraband paper towel in his mouth! He also likes the occasional toilet paper, but really, Bounty paper towels are IT for him!

Great article thanks!!! Will look into other books by Bradshaw. I have since finished it and thought it was great. There's some basenji info in there'd too. I pretty much agree with everything he says… And I though it was very entertaining!!
