it's such a blessing on the weekends!

My boy yodels when I say "I loooooovveee yooooooouuuuuuu" :D

Once in awhile when my guy is getting impatient for me to go out, he voluntarily brings me his Kong to fill. He gets that and his roller ball when we go out, so it is pretty much a statement "when are you leaving? I'm hungry!".

I have had a couple stained glass made, but there is normally a 3-4 month lead time as the artists are already booked up for Xmas this yr. Most of the artists on etsy will be booked this late in the yr, I had two quilts and a needle felt made a couple yrs ago and I placed my order in June in order to guarantee Xmas delivery. If you have a nice photo, there is a company called treasure knits that does wonderful woven afghans out of a photo with about a one week turn around. I have had both afghans and pillows made from photos as xmas gifts from them and they do great work.

Well, the lab I mentioned (chocolate overweight one) almost took me out by slamming into my knee. I commented loudly " he better not insure my knee!" No comment from the owner. Others were keeping an eye on this over exhuberant dog too. Many peeps were standing behind a bench for protection. What really bugs me is that the park has very visible signs when you enter it that say you must have control of your dog.

My Basenji Billy is quite undershot; he's a purebred, his bottom jaw just didn't stop growing when it was supposed to. That's okay, I'm a bit of a sucker for a dog with an underbite anyway.:) He was my first rescue Basenji.

Glad things are going so much better than you thought! Um, but can I borrow her to help with my mourning dove issue?

I have a cousin who is labled "emotionally retarded". This is totally something she would've said and done. She's in her mid 40s. Maybe the lady was a bit off????

I have two males together (yep, both unaltered!), a flat coated retriever and a basenji. I was going back and forth with the same things, but I'm a male person. My flat is the oldest, but he is a very soft boy to work around. He has never gone into a fight, because when another dog is growling/getting into it, he backs off immediatly. So I hardly think it's going to be any problems with male/male here. Others might, every dog is different.

I had a hedgehog as a pet and let him run around in the house with Becca while watching. I think she tried to 'nose' him once and got poked in the nose. That and he puffed at her and that was the end of that. We have animals like that around here but our yard is chain-linked and page-wired so nothing can really get in. I haven't seen a porcupine around here at all yet though we found out this summer that there is a cougar around this area. A couple of years ago one of the neighbors came downstairs and looked at their deck and the cougar was sleeping on his deck!! I would have freaked!

Okay, that link gave me a book about a Rottweiler. So I kept reading and see Checkmate had a section, but not whole book. Yeah, what a great name! Over here people aren't even guessing what breed Voodoo might be. The only thing they ask me is if he is a good hunter, what country he came from and what you can hunt with them. That's all they are intrested in, not one has asked what breed he actually is.

PS - yeah, lots of those tiger squirrels here in Florida too - LOL. Very clever photoshopping.

LOL that is priceless picture, until the basenji falls off the couch! LOL.

Food usually does the trick. I know mine are wary about open stairs too.
