This whole training thing is so new to us. I had a toy poodle before and training was never used so we're still learning. There is alot to learn so thanks for all the suggestions and feedback.

It is good to hear that Las Vegas is pet friendly. I am going to Las Vegas this weekend for a dog show. We are actually staying in Hendersen in the Residence Inn which allows dogs and is close to the show grounds.

I personally know a Basenji that died from raisin toxicity. It is definitely a real, and serious concern.

Have you heard of this stuff called "Goo Gone" I remember in middle school some girl did a presentation with it… she put chewed gum in her hair and rubbed it around and this goo gone stuff took it all out, like it was nothing. I'm not sure how friendly it is for pets... hopefully it says on the bottle. I've used it to get stains out of clothes a gazillion times! You can pick it up at the local hardware stores, or even in grocery stores. I've gotten it in the checkout lanes.... Good Luck!

That's an interesting experiment. They will get the point that they don't need to gaurd their resources if it's no longer an endangered resource :)

OMG!!  I get goose bumps thinking what Topaz would have done with someone who tried to pick her up. I gosh I can't even fathom the thought!!!  Who does that?!! If it were Topaz…it would have been Good Samaritan Texas Chainsaw Massacre :)

I know what you mean. I have bought rawhide chews that Jojo "buries" and then "re-buries" around the house but does not play with or chew on and the kong I bought she could care less about after the peanut butter is gone. She doesn't even go after the kibble inside the kong. But to be fair to my little girl she is 11yrs so….

I have been looking for one in our area as well. Even if just for a couple hours when the weather is poopy. Living in Ohio or weather is 98% crap and 2% raining. I would love to start my own day care here. It would be so much fun to play with the dogs all day!

That is a great idea, but it should be an adolescent for sure (seems to be the most trying stage). My mom also really liked our dog (the look, the no bark, typical things most people like) and she quickly changed her ideas. We were telling her about the time we had to babysit another dog and the things she did to let us know that she did not like another dog in our house (she did some very naughty things)! My mom said 'wow she is really a manipulating dog'. I said, yeah they are definately not a breed for everyone.

As a Falconer I can tell you that most BOP's will not hunt game( your dog) that they have not had succcess with before. Most Raptors are opportunists aand like a sure thing, with no chance of them getting hurt while subdueing prey. The exceptions are if the bird is starving(middle of winter), or young and stupid. This time of year I don't think either would apply. They do take interest in moving furry objects however. I would never leave a puppy(s) unattended where there are Raptors around…....

indeed, thanks everyone! I'm just so happy I can finally have Bindi time :3 she's been going outside everyday, I catch her as she looks like she's about to, she even goes to the door on her own now and whines a little <3 yay! unlike before she's just go where ever because the other dogs did, she's got bigger dogs to play with now who are way better behaved she's got tones of room, her own toys, and she can just chill if she wants I'm still braking her of going on the couch, she mostly does it when I leave the room to get food or go to the bathroom, same with the bed it's mostly my fault because I left something where she can get it or the cat jumps up to get away from her lol they are so cute together ~Kat
