What fun! I would love to have my basenjis at that beach, looks like you had it all to yourself. but keeping up with all those dogs…and cleaning them up afterward, you are very brave and energetic!

Try feeding them in their crates, we leave our crates open at meal time and while Duane is preparing they all go into their crates and stick their heads out and "talk" to him encouraging him to fix faster! Once food is in, doors are closed and locked so that everyone has a chance to eat in peace, only open when everyone is finished. so glad you resuced the boy.

Wow, that first picture is great! If I hadn't of known otherwise, I would of guessed that that was a stuffed doll of a Basenji! His eyes are almost like sew-on button eyes!

We might get one or two days of intense sun and heat, only to get a cold cloudy or rain filled day the next. It's really messed up! Like today, all clouds…so depressing. :( @vickilb: None of those nasty German Shepards there to ruin a nice day!!!! Damn straight! ;) Although there is a riding (horses) path in the same area, and we ran into them on our way home. Gizmo was frozen in his tracks when he spotted them!

What funny picture Pat, I love it.. Lisa yours is great as well Not a good idea though..Otis never did that…but I did catch him on the table once or twice, after our meal..scared by making a loud noise and since he stayed off. Moses the giraffe, just puts his chin on the table and is right there with you..not good. Our dachshund has gotten up on the table in the past and actually marked our bread basket...BAD DOG...

Great pictures - my B sits between my legs on the paddleski and kinda balances OK - will leap off and swim to shore if a suitable playmate arrives. Dived off the canoe into the water to chase a duck. She walks casually into the sea and doesnt mind getting her feet wet - hates being bathed tho ! and loves the rub down afterwards. Her cousin up the road wont even get a toe in ANY water - will insist on being carried or make a big detour ! you made me smile today ! Kris

Great pics! Cody and our mix are somewhat the same way, except that Cody loves to cuddle, but Moe will have none of it. I agree, they will probably get closer over the years. While Cody and Moe are close now, they still don't seek each other out while they are inside unless one wants to play or Cody is cold and wants to cuddle (to which Moe almost always gets up and finds a new place to sleep). Even when they are outside, they will play for a while and then go find something else to do by themselves. Cody sleeps in that position too, as well as many other awkward ones. Sometimes it looks like he has an extra leg!

Well done L'Ox - he must have been a very good boy! Only of mine is mad about toys and still has his first puppy ones (6 years ago!) - the others end up detsroying theirs.

It soo sweet of Maya to jump in and "save" the princess from the evil water. Why Lilah might have - DIED from that nasty water stuff. Good job Maya.

He is doing really well, she is spoiling him, if possible, even more then I did. He is crated while she is at work, but she comes home and has lunch with him, she lives close to her job, so that works out really good. He has gotten adjusted really well. She dogs sits her nieces dog, a c–ker spaniel on several occasions and Otis and this dog loves eachother, she says Otis has a ball running that little dog in the ground.. ..but yes it is very hard, I still miss him terribly..my kids, the youngest one, keeps wondering when he is oming home again, and if he isn't can't we go visit him? I would love to visit as it sin't far from here, but I know that would not work out for Otis or for us..it would be too stressful for him if we "leave" him again and too emotional for us to see him, yet not bring him with us. I know he has it good, and I know Nina (his new mother) loves him and will do anything for him..that helps me a lot.
