How is his appetite, and food intake? There is another thread somewhere here about putting weight back on an older dog that wasn't eating. If he is not eating the normal amount, maybe you need to add really yummy stuff to get his interest. Stress surely can cause decreased appetite. Good luck to you, it is rough to get a bad diagnosis, and sometimes harder to have a problem with NO clear diagnosis.
