Lakers13 - all this will be very disappointing to you now that you are on the verge of getting your puppy but I hope you'll be taking this very well meaning advice. I don't know this breeder and so wouldn't dream to make comment but of course these other resepctable breeders do and you've heard from others' experienes with dogs affected with Fanconi. I'm sure at this time of year you'll soon be able to find a healthy puppy form a genuine breeder.

I totally agree, Pat, I've had that experience myself - as you say the whole family should be on board that's why I always insisted on seeing the whole family when placing a pup.

I am concerned with my (potential) basenji's separation anxiety. Should I crate, get a dog walker or both? She has proven to be totaly different than Tabora and Dakara who were very obedient and reserved unless chalanged. I will post stories about them all in the future.

Mallia is the third Basenji we have the pleasure of having in the last 30 years. She is a female where as the first two were males.

We're on the other side of the state from you. We've received over 10" of snow with another 12" in the forecast!
