So many times people post pictures and ask what folks on the forum think about their dogs. Often, the most convincing in appearance turn out disappointingly to not have any Basenji blood. When you think about it, there are not likely all that many crossbreds out there. Most people with an intact Basenji bitch are not looking to cover her with anything but a purebred male, and in North America generally females are spayed because most breeders require it for pet puppies. Bitches that are showing are even less likely to be bred to something outside the breed.
Our first Basenji

Hello all, This is our first Basenji and he is so much fun, interesting and silly all at the same time. He was 2 mts old when we received him and it is just amazing how quicky he has grown. His home is in Oregon and we call him Korben but his registered name is Khani's Teazer Endlessly Jealous. His biological parents are Hawk and Kyla.

Soooo cute!!!!

At this age get him used to the Dremel for tidying his nails. It will help a lot later to keep his nails short so as not to splay his feet. A good looking brindle that should give you lots of fun.

We bought a dremel to do his nails and he absoutely hates it. I let him look, snif and move it while it was not off and he just backs up. I turned it on and he ran away. So we will us the dog clippers for his nails, those seem to be working.
