Another thing which seems to be a common trait is the basenji back leg stretch off the couch, I am guessing you have seen this one before too?

Oh yes, my boy used to do that all the time! Definitely a Basenji favourite. I also have lots of "under the blanket" pix of mine too. I have a throw on one of my couches, and if Perry considered it to be chilly, I would often have no sign of a dog when I returned home, other than that strange hump in the middle of the couch, completely covered up. After a time he would realize I was back and emerge from his cocoon.
