Looks like he is doing great at the dog park and with the other dogs - nice pictures, all of them! Gotta love the lhasa in the bright red coat - aren't we all thrilled we don't have to keep up with hair like that?!?
I give all the credit regarding Kipawa's mellowness to our breeders Therese and Kevin (FoPaw's Basenjis). They obviously did so much work in exposing Kipawa to a number of sounds and experiences. The carwash experience was really interesting. I thought he would be scared of it, but instead he seemed really curious. He especially loved the pink, green and yellow foam bubbles against the windows. Maybe he could pick up that I like them too? ๐
I love the poem on the rock as well. Lucky little Kipawa - lucky mom too.
At this particular beach, there are quite a few rocks inscribed with various partial poems or eloquent thoughts. People can also pay for a bench as a tribute to a loved one. The beach has a wonderful feeling to it, a truly welcoming area for dogs and humans alike.
The first time I brought Shaye to her vet, he had never seen one before - he told me he was delighted to be able to get to know another breed, and has since gone online and has talked with other vets and researched everywhere he could think of so he could find out if there were any special things to be aware of in treating her. Most vets will go out of their way to school themselves if your dog is one he/she has not treated, I think. He is now wonderful with Shaye and with Gemma too, and I'm glad I let her be the "guinea pig."
zaar in a tunnel at my dads house in his obstacle course. bad collar, that was quickly replaced, eff breakaway collars
amber in a hoody , big snow storm in washington dc last year, record snow fallโฆ.she doesnt look happy about being in the hoody ๐

and the last one is zaar in his fav spot, they love the sun that comes shining thru this window, sometimes they fight for position ontop of this couch and end up snuggling together up there
Congratulations on the coming 'event'. I agree with Debra - work on the 'leave it when the baby is crying especially if it's a sudden scream. It can exacerbate the prey drive. I suggets you have a special command for this rather than leave so he definitely knows what to do when it is the baby crying.
