Hi! I, too, am in love with Lillie's spot or as I call it "the black diamond". The nylabone is still around. Lillie has not shown too much interest in it after the first day we gave it to her. Although, today, we took her to the pet store and bought her a bully stick. I decided to go with the small one to see if she liked it. Boy did she like it! It took her 15 minutes to gobble that up. Now I can buy her the braided one. I never know with her as she tends to be "picky". What surprises me the most is that she has no interest in peanut butter. She is my first dog who does not like it. My other dogs, if I let them, would eat a peanut butter sandwich. The only thing that Lillie likes with peanut butter is the frosty paws peanut butter flavored ice cream. I guess I can't blame her!:D I hope to post more pics with Lillie and her new bed in the near future. Jodie:)

Do they just have them at PetSmart?

If we'd all compare notes I'm sure we can definitely plot the correlations on their traits :D My two have Af in them too & yet so dramatically different… C3PO-he's my cuddle bug...loves attention loves to be in the same room & loves to be petted BUT only by his humans :) strangers he'll investigate & if he likes you he'll ALWAYS like you but if he doesn't he'll ALWAYS growl at you. The critters need to be near him within reach for him to go nuts & try to hunt it...like walking on a leash & dumb squirrel just stood in his path so C3PO just SNATCHED him up by this tail :eek: :eek: Topaz-a lot more indpendent! She'll snuggle with you when she wants to at the right time & place. She is the house HUNTER..she'll hunt anything that moves & she's quick too! My little girl WILL play fetch...but with herself LOL :D :D yup she picks up the tennis ball does a :happy dance: on her hind legs carries it up to the couch nuzzles it & throws it off & she goes to retrieve it! :D Both HATE water (she more than him) :mad:

We have a cube just like that! Our female can carry it around in her mouth, by holding it in her mouth by the hole.

Haha, yes I get it! He is so funny. He also has my trick figured out where I step outside to make him go out and then step back in real quick. He doesn't like that and can't be fooled now. Smarty.

Hi Larka and Lucy, what a fun story about your adoption. I'm in the same boat as you – only three days a basenji owner and learning fast what it entails! Rowdy is also a rescue dog that a friend adopted for me and brought to me this past week. Rowdy is an interesting combination of mischief and gentleness.

Very sweet…great photos. Funny how you can see all three breeds in a row and note the differences. We all should print this out when people are confused about the breed. B-Boy, can you photoshop a Shib-Inu into this picture (LOL)!!

@basi: I met the dog 2 weeks ago at dortmund show and liked him very much, he has a fantastic nature.Fingers crossed he has a bitch and she has show potential. I'll cross mine for you too…..good luck!:)

@tanza: Of course it is very possible that it was a Lab/Beagle cross…. that sired the pups Wow! That would make a cute dog! Abby must have been smitten with him. :D :D

I am actually going to send her a link to this website when their computer is up and running, and she will hopefully use it to her great advantage. Yes, I love the little guy, and I will miss him, but my legs won't…....Climbing over that gate has really caused me a few problems.

We figure Fritz could be a ventriliquist since he can bark with his mouth shut. In the end Ringo won the tug of war because Fritz got so tired he just could not hold on anymore.

I love it…not a care in the world...just fun, food and sleep...what a life....
