Welcome to the Forum! The pictures are very good close ups and show off the mirrors to the B's soul! Hope you get as much out of the forum as I did AFTER I adopted my first. Even as my second time around, I love hearing and learning more about how Basenjis rule! Sorry for your loss, but blessing to you and hugs to Star!

Hi guys,
and thanks for the welcome AND for your approval of the database.
Hoover is NOT delightful. Overnight and obviously sleepless, she chewed my mobile phone. When we are away at a show, the dogs are bed-dogs. My hostess doesn't mind, in fact, in winter she is jealous of my hot-water-bottles.
When I get around to it, I'll post pics of Hoover and Keepurr (you can growl it or purr it and we did keep him. . . ) playing in the unseasonable snow.

Hey, Sally….. you did this yourself by calling her "hoover" (as in a vaccum or inhaling everything)... gggg ... I always say, never name your Basenji something that they might take to heart

Welcome, Sally! I'm also one of the many people who is grateful for the database. Doing research for my puppy last year would have been so much more difficult without it.

Hey Sally, glad you could join us! Yes, do tell more about those crazy youngsters.
Oh, and more pictures for you coming soon!

Sometimes - when she shines (rarely) I wish we had called Hoover 'Electrolux'. Cos then she could be 'Electra' and morning would become her. Our dogs always name themselves by their behavior or their looks.
Plessy started out as 'Hope-The-Lessor' - cos she was a dead ringer for Hope as a puppy. She is now a month short of 15. Firbi was dragged out of Plessy by his tail - hence 'First-born'. The rest of the litter were delivered C-Section.
Curly, Chezz's Dad, was one of the Three Stooges. Gerry's Moet was another one. We didn't breed Chezz but for some reason I wanted to call her that and so prevailed upon her breeder to combine his affix with ours so she was Jethard chez Zande.
Right - Now I am going to add photos to the d/b and play catch-up on incoming emails.
The dogs are scattered around the lawns with HUGE knuckle bones. I kid myself its good for their teeth (actually initially the sinews do act as doggie dental floss) but in fact it keeps them quiet and out of the fruit frame.

Hoover's mother is called 'Trouble' - I guess I'll never learn.
