Christmas Story
OK so I take Buddy over to the SPCA to make a donation and get his pic taken with Santa. I walk up to the SPCA lobby door and a very friendly lady volunteer opens the door and welcomes me in. I sit down and another volunteer lady comes over and is really interested in the dog, asking questions and petting him says "what a beautiful Basenji, I really want one". "What's his name" I say "Buddy" and the lady that let me in the door is standing nearby and says, "oh my gosh my daughter found/rescued Buddy last year. He got out of the gate last year, got scared, took off and ended up 2 miles away. He walked right up to an SPCA volunteer. Can you believe it! Anyway suddenly I recognized the lady and remembered her. She and her daughter Megan brought Buddy to my house. She said when it happened "my daughter calls me on the phone and says "Mom I'm in my car with my first rescue. What do I do now"? I gave her a hug on the way out after the photo and thanked her oh so very much again for finding him. She said "it was our pleasure". Now that made for a great evening! :) -

You know somebody came in just before me for photos with 3 Basenjis that they had gotten from the same rescue, Karen at Medly Basenji Rescue in So Cal. Everybody at the shelter was amazed to see 4 Basenjis in one night.

Happy holidays to you too. I love the picture but also the fact that Buddy tried to remove Santa's beard! Typical Basenji!

How cute! I gotta get Kismet her first santa picture soon :) I took my kitties to the mall last year and got a photo of them. I asked at my shelter yesterday how come they don't do a santa photo session… their response was they tried it one year but the suit got peed and poo'd on too much! LOL
What good cats to be able to do that. The kitties are dressed up too! :D

SMILLLE
Great pic of Hope. She's even smiling too with her little Santa hat on.:D
For a $20 donation our SPCA had the digital pics on the web at Flickr for down loading as many as you want, a 4 x 6 framed picture and an photo ornament.
