Show Off Your Dog

He is a mommas boy..lol, last time we went to the dog park was within the week after the behaviorist and she suggested he wear his gentle leader head halter and have a muzzle so I brought them..he was awkward and the other dogs drew attention to it so I took it off and he started running so the big dogs would chase him..he loved it, but then there was a min ion and he ran ahead and I ran after him and when I arrived it was a standoff..no fight..so for me..I'm nerve wracked..he wants it,like I said but knowing it's a hair trigger makes it unenjoyable and I feel irresponsible allowing it if he could cause a fight; perhaps in the future if we can gather some people to work with us one at a time to build friends and confidence for him

Hi Capt Jacks persons, I haven't been to this site for quite a while, are you still here in CT. I retired in April as chief engineer on research ships for University of Hawaii. I now have more time to pursue other interests. Stellabella is showing her age, has difficulty climbing stairs, we believe she is about fifteen years old. Who cares what she is - she's gorgeous and you should get her. Have her DNA tested later if you really need to know…..I did that for my basenji/collie/sheltie mix, who is the nicest dog you ever want to meet, unless you are a kid, because she is afraid of them.

Thanks, yes, it seems to be working well - now I need to get a hang of all the options… What I love about it is that you see movements and expressions that you otherwise miss

Oh I love the black B's! We kind of want a cat but she'd have no where to go to escape from my B because she's half-cat herself!

In the last photo I can see Basenji and the ears, though the bed would be shredded and not sleep in if he was a lot Basenji. Looks like a very sweet attentive boy. Jolanda and Kaiser

What a cutie, sad such beautiful dogs get put down. To me the ears look Basenji and some of the things he does as well, Kaiser does a wait and stare. Do let us know if you get him tested what the results are. Find Kaiser needs mental exercise more than physical, he is a very good puzzle solver, maybe you can play some mental games and see if that helps to tire him. Jolanda and Kaiser

Zuri is such a fun loving girl. Her breeder had shown her in a couple of shows just before I got her. She is very outgoing and showy even in the backyard with my other dogs she seems to stand out.
