Our first Basenji targeted one post of a redwood gazebo in our back yard. He just slowly worked on it until eventually it was no bigger in diameter than a primary size pencil. We replaced the post, fearing that the gazebo would fall down when he eventually got all the way through. He loved the new post too, so we finally had to put metal flashing around it. He never really chewed any of the other 7 posts holding the gazebo up!
2 of our current Basenjis have completely denuded a eucalyptus tree of bark as far up as they can reach - but they leave the other eucalyptus alone…

Well we tried to find the harness this weekend but all the stores on the list i called didnt have them they had alot of other things by ruff wear but not that harness {figures} lol So i gave in and had to chase around phoenix and practicly sit on him to get him to stay still long enough so i could measure around him. and Placed an order online 🙂 So hopefully in a week or so i should have it 😃 😃 I think he will love it it looks really comfortable 🙂 🙂 thanks again for given me the site 😃 😃

she was 5 months April 7 - she is still not 'grande' size yet - but getting closer by the minute. The size range is 22-28 inches and she's about 20.

We had heard that the UC Davis area was very well known for it's vet activities. That said, we're not vets! This was just a way to get a sense of learning what this special dog is, that we've become so attached to. Any answer we get will only make her more special!

HA! Did you notice the "lovely" blue shag carpeting?

It looks like someone skinned cookie monster and carpeted my house with him. Yeah, that is going to go as soon as we get paint on the walls, and Jack will be very disappointed…..it is so heavily padded, he likes bouncing around on it.

Oh Gosh yea. I have one outside on the porch because when charlie was younger he would try to climb up on it. He was never bad like Zaire is at the dinning room table so I haven't switched over inside, but the cafe style deck table totaly keeps Charlie and Zaire from even getting onto the chairs. I LOVE IT!!!!!!

Those are great pics! Kit leaves her bed where it is but she drags the cat's bed over to wherever she feels like sleeping at the time.
