Do you live in the country? Is it possible your dog is hearing wolves, coyotes or coyo/dogs? I've noticed the time you mention is when packs in my area become vocal, although it never seems to bother my dogs. It's possible your dog is reacting to something only she hears, and I find wild canid packs are most vocal in late fall/winter/early spring. I often hear them around 3pm on cold, clear nights when leaving for work, it doesn't have to be a full moon.What DOES bother my guys is the presence of bears, fisher cats etc around the property. If you have lynx or cougar in your area, they really seem to stir things up.

Oh Barklessdog, you are a brave person. I must now stand with you in insane-solidarity and admit I bought it too. It is awful but when you get the line "we couldn't say goodbye so we took him home" part, you know you got to help support the woman. lol

Thanks DolceMomma, yes my mom is up and running around. She fell and banged her knee and at first it was fine but then it swelled up. She is 86 years old and doing fine. She was having trouble learning to use crutches and was too active. I was afraid she might fall again and that is why I stayed home.

Dolce is a sweetheart. Who knew when we named her that her name would so well describe her. Funny, some dogs are better behaved than many children, yet dogs are banned from most public establishments here in the USA.

LOL, I can just imagine Spencer's surprise when the frog jumped. I can imagine he probably also jumped like a cat. I love when they do that little cat-like jump.
Dolce loves to paw at the little frogs. I don't know what she would have done if the turtle came out of its shell.

I am a big fan of the two dog concept, my wife, not so much.

It's supposed to be a dry winter here in CA and we are getting soaked. Currently in the Sierra Mountains we at 197% of normal snow fall.

Yes, Bungwa will toss any of his toys into the air and catch them but definitely will not catch anything I throw. He has no competition because the others just look and say 'Boooring'!!!

There is nothing quite as dog-friendly as a Volvo Estate for transporting Basenjis ! Mine have always ridden to shows in them - two large crates can accommodate 6 Basenjis in comfort.

I am on my 5th, I think - could be my 6th. The last one did 216,000 miles. That was the square tank-like version. The current 10 year old V70 is overall broader, but without so much space inside, which means a single crate is all it will take. But it is enough for my age-depleted pack.

I wish we had a lure coursing FENCED IN area.
