I am so sorry for your loss, she had a wonderful life with you . Cody is sad just like you are, I would expect him to grieve for days or even weeks. I suggest a new activity, or longer walks in different areas, that helped mine when we lost Topper a couple of years ago. Hugs

I wish they could go everywhere with me but I couldn't imagine trying to get them on a plane. We are going to lake Erie in a couple week for a long weekend and they are coming with us. This campground is very dog friendly, this is the campground's annual halloween party before shutting down for the winter. Everyone is asking us to bring our dogs and of course they will be dressed up in costumes. After that we are taking a week to go to Cancun. Dog's can't go but will staying with a friend that has 1 acre fenced and her 3 dogs and mine were practically raised together. So we call it a sleepover. Everyone plays until exhaused so not a lot of time to get into trouble. I will miss them while I'm gone but know they are in great hands with my friend.

Yes, like humans older dogs can go a bit senile but there is no need to woryy - take her to the vet and he should be able to help her. Jewel (my senior) isn't quite as bad as that but she does get a bit muddled - she'll go to her water bowl and stand by it wondering why she went there. Occasionally when she's outside she'll do much the same forgetting and I have to go get her and remind her what she was going to do in the first place.

I've been giving dogs gluco/condrot for years. Started with the lab 12 years ago. She was 6 when I started and was dysplastic (unknown to us at the time) and I did notice an improvement in her movement and jumping. When the boyz got to be around 7, I started them on it as a preventative and both had careers in agility and coursing. Digital the brindlewonderkid is going to be 13 the end of the year and has just recently retired from agility (maybe). At some point I switched to KNOX nutrajoint with glu/con. And when we got the new malinois, I put her on it b/c I thought she looked weak in her pasterns. I think it or the exercise has helped that; she is about 2.5 years. I notice when I don't get my dose; don't notice when I do.

Sounds like your having fun. Way to much info about last night LOL… I am not even going to ask about the optional. You better rest a little those furbabies are going to be ready when you get home. Have fun and enjoy.

ohio.. what can i say about ohio..
my boyfriend and i drove there from NJ (18 hours round trip) to pick something up on friday night.. and the snow made the trip 30 hours instead.. we got home at 4 am on sunday morning..

it is a gorgeous place though.. we drove right by columbus too!! i wish i had mia with us.. she would have disappeared in that snow! lol
