The first picture was taken on her first rainy day here in Los Angeles - she was not pleased at all. I've always wondered how basenji owners fare in rainy & cold climates!!

Tammie Jean would get up and look out the window (she'd hop up on the cat seat.) If it was raining, she'd back dive under the covers. Then it was on like DonkeyKong. She'd snark. I'd poke. She'd snark more. I'd shake the bed. She'd finally come out so I could pick her up to take her outside.

Talking of rain, Malaika seems to know it's raining even without looking out of the window. Maybe it's the sound or perhaps rain has a scent ?
