Oh Shelley, how awful. Nothing can be said to make things better. Had he been unwell recently?
Thinking of you.

Thank you for your kind words. He was 13 and a big Dog, he seemed fit and well so it was an absolute shock. We dont know what to do with ourselves. We will miss him so much he was a big gentle calming presence in our lives.

He had a good long life with you then and you should at least try to take some comfort from that. You will miss him for a long time but once you get over the shock of today, you can focus on the great times you had with him.

Shelley and family, I'm so sorry for your loss. Perhaps when you feel better it will help to share some happy times and thoughts you have about your Max. We're all here to listen and not only grieve with you in our own ways, but ready to help you celebrate his life if you choose to do so. In the mean time, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
