How Will They All Fit In The Bed? You May Have To Sleep On The Floor :)

We do have four sleep with us…......and a Terrier mix thrown in for good measure......everyone seems to find a spot.:D

Our two oldest, sleep with my oldest Son......seems fitting.:)

I think the two visitors are crate sleepers, they may be bunking in with my other Son.....but in crates. He could put them in his bed if he wants to.

We could just spoil them to death and when the owner picks them up tell her..........Oh yeah, by the way.....we fixed them so they don't need to sleep in crates anymore. :D :D :D :D

  • what do your neighbors thing? do you have a ton of land? I would love to see pics and stories as your week progresses.

Not a lot of land…..an acre.......out in the country though. The B's don't make noise and most neighbors don't even know we have them.

Someone close to us have Husky's or something similar and they howl like wolves......... a lot. That would drive me nuts!

I will take pics Mantis.....count on it!;)

  • OMG! Get prepared - and lots of rest while you can! Looking forward to the stories and pictures! Lots of luck!

Can't wait to see the pics!! :)

We had 8 B's here when your guys paid us a visit.;) :D

  • Oh yes please do share LOTS of pics and maybe some video too, IM SURE youll have PLENTY of video worth activity!!

  • We had a big get together once at our house and it was great seeing a large pack of basenji's running loose. Great fun

The funny part was telling which dog was yours. It's not that easy to tell when they are constantly moving about.

While out in the yard an unlucky chipmonk made an apperance and darned if 10 basenji;s could not catch that thing!

    Be sure to get pictures!

  • I want to know what your gonna be doing with all your free time.
I gotta believe your going with the "More is better theory".
That being said, you should be bored to death. :o (In theory :p )

This is Jasper's littermate Brother Talon. Beautiful eyes.

  • I think we would all love to visit Basenji Park!

How could any dog not love it!

  • They look right at home!!

  • I do hope you have a plot in the works for a group photo  - it would be very interesting!! Or . . . at least a photo of Jasper and Talon together and another with Raven and Grinner together. Nice pics of your guests. Can't wait to see more . . .

We'll shoot for the Brother/Brother, Sister/Brother pictures…..all of them at once may prove more than we can accomplish!
I don't know where it stops though, Willy is also a half brother to Grinner:rolleyes: Oh and then there's Grinner's, Aunt Cleo.:)
Talon has brother Jasper, Aunt Penny & Aunt Raven, oh and Uncle Max...........geez:rolleyes:
They're all related in some way or another.

Ladybasenji, where are you in Quebec? Montreal? We have a place in Gatineau (Aylmer sector) and one of my dogs might even be related to yours. You're experiences with your girl remind me so much of my first basenji, about 20 years ago–it gets easier, I swear! Let me know if you'd like help with Lady--they're nothing like labs and will never be "obedient" but there are tricks for training them : D

I had nose surgery a few months ago and when I got home I was worried the dogs would be so excited and jump all on me, but it was crazy how mild mannered and dare I say tame/domesticated they were. I swear they knew I was hurt and gave me a day or so of good behavior. They are truly great dogs to own!

I'm afraid If I do decide to get another I won't have a chance to introduce them beforehand as it Will probably be a puppy I bring from the US.. I doubt there will be a problem since she will be a young puppy…

This is the main problem right now, I suppose. The civil war's in the Republik of Kongo. I have been talking to a owner of Avongara Basenjis, who's daughter has been in Afrika with the last big expedition. And she had the same thoughts than I have: we thought, that if there are some Basenjis left (the ones which have not landed in the cooking pans), they are spread all over the forrest regions. Most of the human inhabitants of this region have left their houses for the next bigger city to find a little security and help there…. it is absolutely horrible, what mus go on there. But similar actions in other parts of Africa (Mali and Burkina Faso are always at the border of war like actions) plus in lots of these areas there are now many refugees from other areas which make the problems not easier for the habitants....http://www.azawakh.com/azawakhfriends/english/index.html Regards, Esther

Jayden is super gross when it comes to what he'll eat: poop, vomit, and, if he pees on the patio, he'll lick that. Honest!!! We feed him and we feed him very well! Yucccchhhhh! Pat

I think I saw Sophie on a b video website and I was so glad that someone else's B made that noise I showed it to my husband and daughter. Thanks for posting that video because as a new B owner we thought we had some kind of devel dog!!! She does it the most to our oldest dog Josie. There are nights she even does it from under our covers in bed when she hears Josie moving out in the living room. Too Funny!!!!
