Only a Basenji would look upside down like that rather than turn their head sideways, it's hilarious. One thing that Basenjis do is make me laugh, they are silly but so serious doing it!
Some pictures and update

Here's some pictures of Athena. I took her to her 2nd vet appointment (1st with me) on March 7th. She weighed in at 10lbs (is 10lbs a good weight for a 10 week old pup?) The vet said she has some roundworms but gave us meds. Other than some worms and an umbilical hernia, she is perfectly healthy. She hasn't been biting hard as much, she seems to be learning slowly. She also started to vocalize on occasion while playing and yawning. House breaking & crate training is going good.
I'll post a lot more pictures as she gets older!

Very cute!
10# at 10 weeks sounds about right…Blaze weighed 10.5# at 10 weeks, 3 days.

She is adorable..Glad to hear that things are going well..
Pippin was smaller..he was 8.8lbs at 11wks…I still think she is right on track though..

There is nothing wrong with a Herina, very common in our breed. I would venture to guess that 80% have them

What a little sweetheart.

I'm so pleased that the biting is less. They are lovely pictures and she is a lovely girl.

She is adorable, and her weight is very good for her age. My girl had a hernia when we got her, and my vet took care of that at the same time she got spayed. You'd never know it was there now. Hernias are pretty common with this breed, and fixable.

Another update:
She turned 3 months yesterday.
I took her to the vet today and her worms are gone. She weighed in at 13.3 lbs.
She's in great health.

What an adorable girl! I love those wrinkles and she actually poses for you. I cannot get my new girl to sit still long enough for that… I think Faro is a bad influence on her. Your Athena is beautiful. Hoping you have many fun filled loving days with her.

What a cutie! In a couple, it shows the white of one eye and I was going to ask if she has a "lazy eye", but then I looked back at the baby ones… nope, just your camera angle and her looking at you a bit from side. Cara has an absolute lazy eye, btw.. so you know why I was looking! I envy you that cute baby stage. OMG wouldn't it be wonderful if you could keep them like that. Give that wrinkly face a kiss for me. Sigh.

Awwwwwz! The second puppy picture…her hind leg is BURIED in wrinkles, lol! Toooo cute!

Thank you! It amazes me. She always sits still or stops moving when I'm pointing my camera/phone at her. It's like she knows. Every day since I got her has been fun!

Thank you! At times it does look like she has a slight lazy eye but mostly it's the camera angle and the way her head is. Don't worry, I give her many hugs & kisses everyday!
this is my favorite picture I've taken thus far.
