That's just how they like it– swaddled like babies and cuddled up against you. He's adorable-- congrats!

Faro is gorgeous, he looks like he has a half Diamond shape on his face.

I know the markings are what sold us. We were planning on a red and white for the past year almost while planning to get a basenji. We even saw our little guy and past him up but saw that face and fell in love. Cannot wait to tell his mischief. Here are a few more pics we have. He is on the far right with a couple of his siblings.

At least you're prepared. He looks like he'll turn into a handsome brindle beast.

Ha, ha…at first I thought "why is he so dirty?" then I realized it was his brindling....very cute!
Me too… too funny

Thanks so much. His little personality is coming out now and we are even more in love with that. My husband actually called to ask if I love Faro as much as he does. lol This from Mr Authoritarian Man. Our kids don't know what has happened to their dad.

Hi looks so precious!!!!:):)

Now to get him housebroken. That will be an adventure. lol

Once they reach the right age, they learn quickly. Basenjis are smart pups.

The whole trick to house training is being on constant alert… never leave it to chance... and if they have an accident, roll up that newspaper and smack "yourself" over the head... and repeat... "I must not forget to take the pup out"... because in the end it is your fault, not the pup
