My Teddy had/has what I would call a rash as well. My vet said it is an allergy (he does occasionally lick his paws also) - at first he thought it was a food allergy but it would go away when the spring rains came. It appears to be related to molds and dust mites instead. I give him salmon oil (not the pills but the real oil), freeze his kibble, regularly clean his blankets etc., and give him oatmeal shampoo baths when it really acts up. I also use dermacton cream if his skin gets too dry. We seem to have it under control.

you can put some essential oils on him when you go out for a walk - there are some brands with special anti-tick-mosquito mixes available.

Really glad it is something fixable. Sometimes dogs with heart failure or cancer do that, but as he had this before, sounded like recurrence. I would ask why the different drugs... if bacterial, he needs antibiotics to clear it up. Steroids can help with allergic reaction/inflammation, but won't do squat for infection. Are they suggesting one and then the other if first doesn't work? Good luck!

did not see this until now, no update on condition, but I would get a new vet, Id go to an emergency vet place, poos little guy is probably dehydrated, which can cause organ damage, and probably has kennel cough or something similar, I fear for the worse if no action is taken immediately.

Cosette does the throwing-up-bile thing on occasion, and in her case, it always seems tied to overexcitement. We've been working with her to get her used to cohabitation with our cat, and she's puked up bile in at least two instances when we picked the cat up or the cat ran across the floor, and we had to calm the dog down and take her attention away from chasing. Just another data point for you that may be helpful!

No, I have not talked to the breeder. That is a good suggestion and I will do that right away. Thanks

Also @ Kebasmom: unfortunately what you describe sounds very similar to our little pup. I'm so sorry for your loss and appreciate you sharing. I want to be realistic about what is happening, and I can see the road ahead of us. Still, you never know... Thanks

@Abaihya think you need a new Vet, no way should the Thyroid blood test be that price.... They draw the blood and it is sent out....

Thank you for your help. I took her to the vet. They prescribed eye drops to see if it would help. They stained her eye. No scatches. They eye is slightly recessed. I will try the massage as you suggest. I really don't want her to have surgery. But I don't want her to be in pain either. Hoping the massage helps. Thank you.

Our Buana has the same thing, since he is a puppie. Every winter his ears get dry, and loose hair. For Buana there is no medical issue behind it but it looks like the dry air of winter gives the edges of the ears a hard time. We have tried all kind of things but nothing helps, we stopped finding what to do and let it, and in spring the ears get the hairs back.. But with Buana it does not itch.. You can try almond oil, but you have to start before they ears loose the hairs...

If both front and back, could be her spin. I'd have the doctor check her. I have had good results using bromelain (it is from pineapples and a natural anti-inflammatory). You can get it off amazon or some health food stores.

How is their weight? If they are eating a lot and fat, you may need to put on lower calorie food (the green beans/pumpkin is good). If thin, may need to check their thyroid. At their ages, it can cause problems. Please get a full panel run.

I mix a little pumpkin into my B's food several times a week. Most dogs like it, and it's good for their digestive track. I buy organic when it's available, but you can always find Libby's 100% pure pumpkin (no sugar) and it's often on sale for $1 a can. The OP hasn't returned, so I hope that's a sign that the sick little guy is doing better.
