We don't have a treadmill yet, but the kids have had a chance to "try" one, and here's Mojo doing his advertising stint.

I don't really think, other than what the vet's suggested, you can do anything. You could try wrapping it, but that won't last very long.

It's funny actually after a while with the "cone" on his head he learned just how to move it around so he could still do his favorite things .. Like getting into the kitchen trash or Bathroom trash , stealing towels , walking away with other asst items lol yep it didnt slow him down much after the first week. But now that he has if off I have noticed he just wants to play play play 🙂

My B chews her paw sometimes too..doesn't last long and its like she is cleaning herself so we just ignore it.

Mine are all snugglers and bed warmers, but Eddie is the hottest basenji I have ever known! He is the one that is in and out of the covers all night long, topper & Nicky usually settle under-cover and are set for the night. But if I get up to go to the bathroom, I am reminded of the Simon & Garfunkel song '"Cecilia…"I got up to wash my face, when I come back to bed someone's taken my place".

I am lucky (knock on wood) all mine ride great... crate pads keep them from sliding around and they just sleep anyway....

Sure makes clean-up easier! I used to keep wipes in the car to clean her, esp. before shows! ew. I just layer plastic bags in the trash can, and tie 'em off as used, then toss when we get to where there's an outside trash can.

I'd make video to show, but really, that'd be gross :eek:

She's really good in her harness, so it works out quite well.

As I said, Keoki continues to be my car challenge in terms of how to best travel with him. But he loves going in the car in general.

My vet charged $35 for chipping when I had the pups done last year. It just depends on where you get it done. There are also microchip clinics offered at shows sometimes which usually offer a good deal. I got Nicky's done for free that way back when microchips were still relatively new and they were trying to get people to do it.

I've tried the treats all diffent types and the kongs they hate kongs go figure my luck huh lol I can't separate them because i tried that once and upstairs said it only made it worse instead of constant barking it was barking with constant loud whining on top of that I think i'm going to start off trying that "rescue remedy" and see how that works first. then if need be i will go to the vet and see what kind of meds they suggest Is the rescue remedy a plug in thing or is it a pill i give to the dog ?? Is there diffent types out there of it ?? Thanks for all the suggestions 🙂

Rescue Remedy is a liquid… but it is 27% alcohol... whcih is most likey why it works for some dogs. Honestly, I have never had any luck with it....

I finally got the test back today. Turns out he is perfectly fine 😃 😃 all is levels are where they are suppose to be So i have cut down his food to 1 cup a day and instead of any treats like the bacon strips ,chicken I have replaced it temporarily with green beans and carrots He gets limited # of treats anyways but when he goes out and potties . I have another Vet appointment in a couple weeks just to see how his {diet is going} I am soooo happy all checked out well with him it's a big load off my shoulders. Now the trick is to get him to want the green beans and such instead of the in his eyes { the good stuff} lol needless to say he hasnt been the happiest dog since i havent given him any of the other treats he throws the green beans back at me when i give him one but after a couple mins of me telling him no he's gonna eat it or get nothing he will eat it while given me the "evil eye" lol just thought i would let u all know the update on my { non vegetable loving he's gonna fight me to the end phoenix} lol 😃 :p

Just curious, was the Thyroid test sent out separate from regular blood work? And what were the values. Remember that low normal in a Basenji is TOO low….
