So pretty!!
Congrats on your new baby

Wow have never seen one either with that amount of white, but still very cute all the same:D
I saw pictures of one from the 2009 nationals that had a half white face. And I have been seeing quite a few dogs lately with a lot of white in them, but not to this extent.
-
I just found one in the database of another white and red animal, I think it is from the same breeder (going of another post)

Soooooooo cute… Enjoy!
-
What a sparkly, sweet little man! Enjoy all of your time with him - may it be many, many years!
-
No he is a straight B. Both of his younger sisters are the normal tan colour with some white.
Aww wow. hes so cute anyhow
How old is he?
-
he is 9 weeks old. . .

Its wonderful about the DNA testing…but what about the fanconi testing? Sorry to sound like a broken record, but I had a fanconi b and I loved and lost that dog.
We have so much information now, its so important for you to know... -
He is darling, congratulations! Enjoy your baby.
-
Cute little boy. I hope you have fun with him.
Which Avuvi dog is the dam? Or did I miss that somewhere.
-
awwww, a basenji pinto bean. (his markings remind me of a pinto bean)
i forgot how tiny baby b's are.
-
When I lived in Egypt I saw a number of dogs that looked like this, typically they did not get the full basenji curl tail. He sure is sweet.

The breeder did say she had testing for fanconi done. But we are still waiting to see who the sire is.... so. -

The breeder did say she had testing for fanconi done. But we are still waiting to see who the sire is.... so.But that would have no bearing on the Fanconi test, who the sire is….. Fanconi testing is on the pups DNA as it relates the the Fanconi genes. And if done, would be on the OFA website as all test results are automatically public records.
-
Pat is correct. If you can't go to a website and see the results, I would say this testing wasn't done and you would be very wise to do it yourself.
Yes, its $60 but the knowledge you get from this will help you keep your dog with you for many years. -
Of course if the bitch was tested and on the OFA site and is clear, at least at worst your pup would be a Carrier.
-
Ok, that is something I will do tonight then. And if he hasn't been tested can I just take him to our vet or is that somethin I would have to go somewhere special to get done?
-
You order the test kit from the OFA website, http://www.offa.org/dnatesting/index.html
Your contract should have included details of all the health testing results of the parents, in this case, just the dam since the sire is still unknown, as well as all the health results for your puppy like CERF and Fanconi DNA results if done prior to placement, etc.
-
Good for you for doing this test. We will all be here to hear about the results and cheer when you get a good report.
Its so worth knowing. -
Your new little one is too cute. I must admit I am partial to the name as we have a 6 yr old r/w male named Monty . Lots of love and enjoyment to you for many years.
