Ask the breeder how big the sire and dam are. That's a good idea. My first basenji, who was a champion, weighed nearly 26 pounds when she matured. My 2nd one would have been about that, but thanks to steroids, we did good to keep her at 30. My current rescue is a giant. We won't go there. I first dreamed of a SMALL dog, maybe 15 pounds tops after years of being a BIG DOG person (rottweilers and chows). I don't see that ever happening.

This is "Luke" he is one of the Basenji pups born and rescued from the field in Wimauma, FL. He is about 14 weeks old in this picture and was adopted through BRAT. Thank you to all involved, he is doing great!

He's a cutie! Glad to hear that he found a good home.

We look forward to watching him grow.

Congratulations, he is darling! I think I may have done your home visit, are you at the beach? How is the B-500 track working?

Anne,
Yes you did our home visit and thank you so much! Luke is doing so good, crate, leash, and potty trained. Teaching simple commands now (sit, come, stop!) LOL I think we use "Stop" the most. He has made two new friends in the neighborhood. He is actually a very loving calm pup right now!

Aww, he's lovely. Pleased to hear he's safe now. All the best with him.

I am waiting to adopt one of the Wimauma puppies too.

What a looker! I particularly like how light his head is compared to his body! Hope you will keep us updated with more pictures as he grows!
