Hi, this is my first post of Basenji Forums. I live in Scotland and am due to collect my first Basenji puppy on 1st February. I have waited over a year for this puppy so i am really looking forward to finally having one. I already own two lovely Rhodesian Ridgebacks and have admired Basenjis for some time since they are all 'hounds'. I will be taking a lot of interest in your forum for help and advice with my new puppy.

Thanks for the welcome folks! I'm getting a boy puppy from a lady in Bedford, England. Zordia is the kennel. I will post some pics on as soon as i can. Our ridgebacks have really good natures and will love having a new boy around.

Welcome! I too have run Ridgebacks and Basenji's together. Good thing is they understand each others play because they have very similar play styles. Most RR's know how rough they can play with smaller dogs but you will still want to closely monitor for several months as your B grows so you can make sure there aren't any accidents from too rough of play.
