She certainly is a pampered princess. My mom is a vegan animal rights activist, and I live with her. She won't even let me keep rogue on a house line. It's presented some unique training challenges, but ultimately I feel like we're still getting off to a great start.

She's gorgeous!!Thank you! I only picked her because she insisted on climbing all over me when I was sitting on the floor at the breeders. Her stripes are a bit overcooked on her left side though. I'm hoping that they'll grow in more as she gets bigger. Its funny because on one side, her body is really stripey, and on the other side her face is really stripey. Its ok if it doesn't grow in though. I love her just how she is.
Aren't lure coursing and agility part of dog shows?
I keep watching you tube videos about dog shows, but they seem to be really focused on breed conformation. I feel like I'm not getting the big picture. I thought dog sports were part of dog shows.

Yes and no. All three endeavors will provide a unique opportunity to bond with your pup.
There is the typical dog show (like the big Westminster Kennel Dog Show that they air every year). The judges examine the dogs to see which one conforms most to the "breed standard", so it's like the swimsuit part of the Miss America pageant.
The Lure Coursing events are speed based. A huge field is set up so that a "rabbit" runs back and forth and the dogs chase the "rabbit". The "rabbit" is more like a white rag. The judges are looking to see which dog stays focused, on the hunt, and has the speed. Lure Coursing would be a good workout, but mostly for the dog. You could set up a practice area in your own yard, but... I think attaching a handkerchief to a little drone and creating a challenge with it flying relatively low to the ground might be just the ticket. It would take some practice and flying skill. You certainly don't want your dog catching the drone!
Agility events are the ones where the dogs run through the tubes, over the seesaw, etc. etc. That is going to require focus, ability, speed and accuracy. This one, I think, may be the one that requires the most work as I believe that the judges also grade on the owner/handlers ability to communicate with the dog. And you might find that agility may be the best way to exhaust your dog. As the saying goes, "A tired dog is a good dog." Expect it to be a good workout for yourself as well!
There are several other events that are available to enjoy with your pup. Talk to your breeder, many of these things shouldn't be attempted until the dog has physically matured (1+ years).

She’s beyond adorable! We can’t wait to get our little guy next month! He’ll be 12 weeks. I would have liked to get him at 10 but we’re wintering in Arizona. Have fun no matter what with your cutie pie!

You are going to have SO much laughter and fun and love with your beautiful little Rogue. My black and white Binti is the light of my life-she is 10 now but she is still my "puppy" and she still acts like one.

@roguecoyote - Brindles do not get "pips" like a Tri does. This is just the brindle markings.

So Charmer's sire is AKUABA N ELDORADO CHARIOTS OF FIRE, who's sire is STERNHIMMELS GENERIS SUI, and who's dam is ELDORADO'S AKUABA WITH ONE LOOK.
Charmer's dam is AKUBA N ELDORADO CANDY STRIPES, whos sire is ELDORADO N AKUABA THE LAST SAMURAI. (cool!) Her dam is AKUABA N ELDORADO BETCHA BY GOLLY WOW!
They are all champions.

@nancyss That's funny, because one of the things that struck me about the breed, the first time I saw one in person, (during my interview with the breeder) was that all the adult dogs had this adorable puppy quality about them that just melted my heart. I said it before, but I'm so lucky to have my rogue. What with them only going into heat usually once a year, and the small litter size, I had no idea how long I would have to wait. I have never felt so lucky.

You should definitely get with your breeder (or a mentor) and try showing, I had zero intentions of showing when I got my two but my Ivy was already showing (I got her at 2 years old) and I agreed to bring her to some shows for the summer for my breeder to try and finish her championship (she did :), and the next thing I knew, poof! I was standing in a show ring going "how did this happen!?!" The truth is my girl is awesome with people and dogs because of all her showing. I started my boy right away in hopes he would turn out as good as her. He is now awesome with people and not quite as friendly as my girl with other dogs but he does know how to behave himself around them. It has definitely made him a much better dog and its really fun to do. You also need to try dome racing-lure course and fastcats, it is just awesome to see them do what they are designed for. I'm also working on some scent work-its still in progress but I think we'll get there....Good luck with your girl, you're going to love showing her off no matter what you do! Such a beauty!
32/42
