If you're still in Paris, we could meet in Belgium. :)
or: 29 August there is a German speciality in Trechtingshausen, maybe that's an option? :D Basi will be there as well, her mom is the judge.

Otherwise you have to come to the Netherlands… ;) :p :D

No, it was a rescue dog from spain, a podengo x. She was sooo fast and the boys all loved her :D :D

  • @snorky998:

Wonderful pics!! The last one is fabulous. The shadow/light contrast and that precious face is just delightful. I keep going back to look again.

Bendji was so, so, sooooooo cute… I tried to steel him, but Walter was watching him too closely.. :(

  • I agree with Janneke, we had a WONDERFUL afternoon last Saturday ! It was our first meeting ever but it seemed to us that we knew each other already for a very long time ! :)
So we agreed to organize these meetings more often in the near future with Janneke and her BF (the very talented photographer "Mr. J") ;), Kim and Kas, Nicole (my LW) and myself and maybe some other Basenji owners we know. As I read in this thread, Schouiffy also is interested in joining us ;) but then the question is : where shall we meet, in Holland, Belgium, France or Switzerland :D:D. BTW I looove those mountain walks so my choice is clear !
Tribute to "Mr J": fantastic series, congrats !
    Greetz from Belgium

  • Yeahhhh!!!

I stole already some pis for my website Janneke :)

We had a great time and doesn't matter were we come together the next time… We'll come!!!!!!!!!

I'll post my pics as soon as possible (first put them on photobucket of course...)
But.. They are not SO beautiful as this pics... :D

  • Awesome photos!! I love the one of the Basenji mid air!! :)

We also have a possible Basenji/Terrier (Yorkie) mix. I've had some doubts, but seeing this picture of Rosie, I can't help but see my Rebel. Such a great looking dog, and if she's anything like our girl, you're in for a treat!

Hi everyone, Thanks for all of your replies! Rex just had his first vet visit (first with me at least), and he was given a clean bill of health. The vet that I saw also agrees with a lot of you that he looks like a Min Pin more than a Basenji, but he is likely still mixed with something because he's a bit too big to be a pure Min Pin. I've looked at a few DNA Dog Breed tests online, and they seem to range in price and in quality. It seems like some of the cheaper (~$50) tests are fake, but they go all the way up to almost $250 for the higher quality ones. Do any of you have experience with these DNA tests / have a brand you found reputable? I'll be sure to post the results of any of the tests with this forum! Thanks again, and Rex is doing really great in his new home!! [image: 1559586518913-img_3707-resized.jpg] [image: 1559586546977-img_3720-resized.jpg] [image: 1559586568474-img_3708-resized.jpg]

Thank you Debra. Sayblee is a very good looking dog and I love the way adult Basenjis bodies fill out as adults. I like how the brown goes down her legs too giving the appearance of white socks. I will definitely keep your words in mind should I see any signs of aggression forming as he matures. I can only pray I luck out and he continues to get along well.

I think I see some of the basenji ears, especially in the second picture. I just want to grab them and rub them good! :) It's most likely that there is at least a black lab there too. Also it may be not the first "mix". If it is a generation over there may be more then one mix in there. But either way, Lilly is adorable! :):) It's awesome that she has a good forever home now.
  • Not a basenji, but…

After striking out with my first 2 B's I figured I'd give my other love a try! She is wonderful so far, potty training is kicking our butt..as with any puppy. We have only had her a week yesterday so I'm sure this is gonna be fun! She is giving us (my gf and I, our 3 cats and Sid) a run for our money! Sid is very jealous though, which is what we wanted. We need him to desire attention instead of just laying around all day long. Wish us luckkkk with the ol' man.
