Keba

My sweet little basenji girl died last Friday morning. She woke my husband up so she could say goodbye. He did CPR on her but nothing worked. She was only three and a half years old She had been diagnosed with distemper in March but was doing very well. The neurologist expected her to live for a long time. She was doing so well that we had just adjusted her meds and then she was gone. I sure do miss her little nose smelling at the back door as I opened it when I got home every afternoon. I miss her daily dose of baroos and her sleeping on my pillow, and well, I miss everything. I wish I could have loved her longer…..
Thanks to everyone for all of your support and advice when I found out she was sick. You folks are the greatest.

I am sitting here with tears in my eyes, I can't imagine losing a furbaby that you had for such a short time. It is always so sad when someone loses their B's no matter how long you have had them, but I can only put myself in your place b/c I have had my furbaby for 1 and1/2 yrs. and I would be devasted if she just up and died. My husband would be also, I have never seen a grown man love a dog so much, they are buds. I hope you will remember the good times and maybe get another baby to share your life with. Take care!

My heart goes out to you and ur husband. I'm so sorry you went through this. It is very hard but keep her thoughts close to you as I'm sure she will continue watching her parents from the rainbow bridge.
