• Oh, this poor b…glad she is over it.

  • It must have felt good to have validation of how much you mean to her! Of course it also makes you a little sad that they are missing you. Your son must not have been amused!? Not everyone appreciates the sounds of a basenji!
O- how quickly they do get over it, lol. But of course I sympathize that no ones wants their bops to be upset

  • You may remember that I rescued Zeba at the end of April, when I bought her from a BYB that had never socialized Zeba- she had spent her short life (she turned 1 in December) outside in a kennel, and the family didn't want her because she killed their chickens.

Zeba is still a little skittish around men, but her progress as a normal basenji is remarkable! I could take credit for her, I suppose, but I chalk it up to the basenji spirit of resiliency and adaptability to their conditions. She is 99% housetrained and a close "sister" to Lola.

My original intent was to get her socialized and then to give her away… that is impossible! 🙂

  • Yup, looks like she is "home' for sure. My Eddie is a "long term foster" too.

  • Ah, well, another failed foster. Glad you realized that and everyone is happy

  • Awwww, the poor little thing! So glad she has found her forever home because it looks like she fits right in.

  • You've obviously made up so much for her earlier experiences. Well done to you.

What breed is the bigger dog in yor picture, please?

  • Hehe. Multiply that times 6+ dogs and that's what my house sounds like all day/night during breeding season. :p

  • Anubis does that too!! Mom said last time she watched him for me when I went to the store he did that for like 20min till he tired himself out and went to sleep

Thank you Patty…. Zeba is learning that people aren't painful thanks to the patience of people around us... if you are asking me about the brindle colored dog behind them, she is a mix at the dog park~ I will find out! 🙂
