@jys1011: That's funny! I thought the show was live too..good thing someone said something :) I too was disappointed when Melinda left…I think she was the AI winner a long time ago. But I'm really torn between Blake & Jordin (she spells her name with an I) I really like Blake's style but Jordin's voice is really beautiful. it is live for the East Coast ;) That was one of the strangest things for me moving east from Seattle. Football doesn't start until like 1pm here on Sundays! And on election years…it is so wierd to have to wait, and wait for polls to be closed on the west coast. I wouldn't complain tooo much about being second class citizens...it is the price you pay for living in the world's most perfect climate, and beautiful scenery ;)

Pat- I love dogs so much because they give their love so unconditionally. No matter how you feel or look..they still love you. That is why I had such a tough time with Ricky. I never experienced this before (and I hope I never do again). Thanks for the compliment. Come by Staten Island, NY anytime. How many basenjis do you own? I would love to get another dog but it is not feasible now. I guess Lillie will just have to get all my love by herself! Take care, Jodie

@jys1011: I did see a commercial for that…it does sound like a good show. I'll have to check it out. I agree..altho it seems like ALL of Cesar's clients have the same issue :D don't they get it by now?? It's like the same story over & over again lol How very true, however it just goes to show what a big serious problem this is

For anyone unaware of this bill please check the AKC website for information, http://www.akc.org/canine_legislation/CA_action_center.cfm It is very important that California residents write their assembly member expressing their opposition to this bill. This bill will hurt responsible breeders who do more work than I think most people know. Many are active in educational outreach about responsible pet ownership and support and are active in rescue. This bill would severely damage the infrastructure of responsible pet ownership.

We are back from the vet and just waking from a long nap. The vet tested his blood cell count and some other test with his blood. He did have some slight damage to some of his blood cells and the red blood cells were already re-forming. She doesn't feel that anything serious will come out of this since he was treated early. I called the Super Supper place where I had picked up my dinner (or maybe I should say Chase's dinner) from and they said that there may have been about 1/2 cup of onions in the mixture.

How sad for your parish, Joe's friends and family. There are no "right" words to make this situation any easier for anyone. I hope Joe realizes that he is surrounded by love and support and will be able to become stronger knowing that he is not alone. My thoughts are with your community in this tough time. Jenn

"Thats great that you too have rescued herps, most people dont give a damn about herps cause most of them arnt cute and cuddly." I feel the same way. My husband and I did (ex-husband still does, since he's got the animals) many educational programs for the public. We are members of the local herp society and visited schools, nature centers, and anywhere that would have us to share our pets and our knowledge of reptiles. People are so ignorant regarding herps, and have such horrible misconceptions of these creatures. It was very fulfilling to prove them wrong and to actually watch them walk away with respect for those animals (even if just a little bit).

Yes, he acted pretty much the same. The only point that really made about the show was that the producers edited it to portray people different ways, and that many times they made people look bad or good for ratings, and what was really happening was never accurately portrayed. During the show, he couldn't say anything at all about what had happened. However, he had a deal with a bar-owner friend of mine that he would come up to the bar for every survivor show during the season in exchange for a free wedding reception for his daughter. Everybody knew he had made it pretty far because for one, he came home so skinny, and secondly, the bar-owner that was letting him have a free reception was the "tightest" man any of us knew.

Taylor is coming home to Birmingham next week but I don't have a ticket for either show. He's famous for dropping in to night spots around town unannounced when he's in town. My boys are both musicians and I met Taylor through them long before he was famous. He's just as polite and sweet and humble in person as he appears to be in interviews. I think this is the girls' year to win American Idol. I like Melinda Doolittle best.

I am very interested, but need to wait to get the extra money built up before I start. I want to begin with the non-aggressive, mild but colorful fish. I have been told tropicals are more difficult than fresh waters… What is your suggestion? I am trying to learn ahead of time so when I do start, I won't be in over my head!
