Doggie Day Care in Natural Bridge, VA?

    We are vacationing in Natural Bridge, VA for a few days before we had off to NC to the Dog House Resort. I would like to try and put the furkids in a doggie day care while we tour the caverns and the bridge, does anyone know of any place near there?

    AJs Humana - you have a right torant. I too get annoyed about irresponsible owners. We even get them at the shows here with Basenjis. People who say - "keep your dog away from mine" (this in the ring) "he/she snaps"!!!! Also others who wander past a crated dog with several of theirs on loose leads, poking at the dog in the crate. When the crated dog reacts they complain about bad temperament!!!

    Thank you Wizard, I did 11 years in the Navy (9 years active, 2 years in the reserve) and DH is still in. We went to Arlington Cemetery this weekend and it is something I think everyone should do if they get the chance, there are so many buried there that have sacrificed for our country. I was honored to have served.

    I've had a dog door in my sliding glass door, but I had one put in the wall when I got a nice new sliding glass door and didn't want to ruin the look (and some accessibility). I've had 3 basenjis over about 18 years, and they have loved being able to go out and sunbathe in the backyard whenever they feel like it. They stay in when it's raining or cold–but will go out to do their business.

    @abby_basenji: I vote for te poop bag on fire on her doorstep. LOL! :D omg, i know you just didnt! hahahahaha…..i wonder if anyone REALLY does that? i have done my fair share to t.p.ing and even "forking" a yard once. hey, i was a teenager they were the faculty of my private christian school i think burning bags of shite is a whole 'nother level

    I grew up in Indiana where they get lots of snow but here in Alabama people don't know how to drive in it. We're in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains and it's very hilly. Everything stops when it snows, schools close, etc. All they have to do is mention the S word in the forecast and in two hours you can't find a loaf of bread or gallon of milk anywhere. In March 1993 we actually did have the Blizzard of the Century and we got 21 inches of snow and ice. I got snowed in at work (I'm a nurse and work in a hospital) for 5 days. My son was 15 then and he was home by himself because I couldn't get there. He got bored and tried walking down the hill and the National Guard picked him up and took him back home!
