    That good news, Dennis - and you are likely to find, in the long run, that the older boy will teach the pups far more than you ever can. They'll get their street cred from him !

All dogs take patience and that you be at least as persistent as they are. At her age, she doesn't get the option of "won't allow me to do anything." Without yelling, hitting or rough behavior, you really can turn it all around. Right now is the time she must learn you can check her teeth, look between her toes, check her ears, etc. At some point in life, it may be critical, so training her NOW is important. But it can also be relationship building and fun. :) Mary has one of the easiest to follow sites. You just start working on training so that she comes to see you as the one to guide her.     I ditto the sentiments above. Although I have not been tremendously active I do appreciate all the valuable information that is shared here in the Forum. I often come here to answers to my questions or concerns about my 2 B's - Dwjaad and Camerou. aka - Jenga and Rudy. They have both turned 1 years old this month and I am happy to reach this milestone. We passed the year without too much damage to our house and contents when I look at some of the photos on the site. Wow have we been lucky. They are lovely boys who follow me everywhere. Jenga is so fast and it is such joy to see them running through the fields of snow with our german shepard in hot pursuit. They love to play and run in our creek! I know I will continue to come here to find out more about Basenjis. Thank you everyone and a happy holiday to all.

    Hey, I've just discovered what a 'snugglepuppy' thingy is. We found a cuddly teddy in a charity shop years ago which had a ticking clocks as it's tummy. We bought it for our puppy coming home and it worked wonders. Have used it with puppies ever since. :)

    Thanks for your replies. I've started giving Sonia Glucosamine w/ MSM every day and we'll see how she does. I'll give you an update in about a month and let you know if it's helped or not.

    I think an original idea should be developed that is associated with bs. The weims dressed up is so classic for them. Bs should somehow be associated with messes. Maybe they should be paired with new furniture advertising or TP sales!!! Weims became so popular tho, they are having probs in rescue. They are very high energy and most people can't give them enough exercise. I think my idea would prevent Bs from becoming too popular and lots more ending up in rescue. :D
