Hello and welcome to the forum!

Welcome - keep us informed when you finally get him home. And yes there is a lot of collective experience and expertise here.

So sweet. I love that first picture the most!

Welcome swanchez. Your pup is quite cute!! Love those brindles.

How did you decide on a Basenji?? Forgive me, I'm just being nosey, but I really love the stories about how people learned about the breed and then decided a B. was right for them.

Please share, if you care to.

A friend of mine had two when I was growing up and I've always wanted one, I just had to wait until the time was right in my life to get my own.

testing was done on both and posted as "clear/normal for fanconi syndrome" on the OFA site.

Good looking boy you have there. I wish you many years of great companionship.

Verrry Cute!!!! Keep those pics coming!!

Welcome to the forums, Luke is just adorable. Hold on to your hat… you are in for a wild ride, LOL!!! AAaaahhhhh, but how we love our little "beasties." Basenjis are the most amazing breed, I am totally smitten with my Bella. She keeps me laughing and keeps me warm at night. She looks at me with those deep, dark eyes and has me wrapped around her little Basenji paw...;)

So cute! I can't wait to see more of him! When do you pick him up (oops…I didn't read the first post correctly)?? How has it been going? Any more pics?...and Welcome, of course!

So much Basenji envy! I want a little brindle boy so bad!

Keep those pics coming! 😃

Everything is going great. He is getting more comfortable everyday and starting to show his quirky personality. About twice a day, he goes absolutely nuts and runs all over the place. He had his first vet visit, and he was a real hit there. His housetraining is going great. He even wakes me up in the middle of night with a nibble on the head to let me know he needs to go out. He loves to chew on all his toys, but he is starting to get real interested in chewing the legs of the furniture. The bitter apple spray works pretty good, but he still finds spots to chew. Ill post up some new pics soon.

Welcome, you have a great looking Basenji puppie…
