Ah yeah though the site that I saw clearly had a picture of a Basenji representing the breed! Your link, they look nothing like Bs
The Poop Demon!

Poor kid….leaves be such dangerous mean things.

LOL that's hysterical!
My dog will avoid poo at all costs… If I throw the ball in the yard, which, btw, I only get one throw cause why on earth would I expect my dog to actually bring it back... anyways.. If that ball lands anywhere NEAR a pile of poop, it's "tainted". my dog (also named Tucker) will run and the come to a dead stop just before the ball. he'll then give me a look as if to say "are you insane? like i might touch a ball near poo?" then he wanders off to look for squirrels in the tree.
If we happen to encounter poo on a walk, mine won't jump, but he will stop, give me a horrified look, then walk as far as his leash will allow around the poo.

Occasionally after eating a Kleenex (imagine that;) ) Katie will get a cling-on. You can always tells because she starts screaming and yipping and running around like mad like something is attacking her butt. (Attack of the Killer Poo??)
Catching her to get it off is another adventure entirely.

Booger gets hair poo. My hair is a little past my shoulders & naturally I shed several strands a day. Booger occasionally eats them somehow, and they aren't digested… they just go straight through & come out in his poo. However, if the hair is longer than the poo, then the poo dangles out of his butt & I assume the hair tickles his butt & he flips out. If I can get him to be still long enough, I use a stick & twirl the hair around it & pull it out. Its obviously uncomfortable, but its still kind of funny to see him squat hopping.

This is too funny! Tosca gets "hair poo" too! The first time it happened, she absolutely FREAKED OUT, and I didn't know what to do, as I didn't realize right away what was wrong. Sometimes this happens to her on a walk too, but luckily she manages to resolve the situation pretty quickly

OMG this whole post had me laughing so hard. Thanks!
Andrew you're a riot! -

OMG!!! Katie gets hair poo too. That's even worse than Kleenex poo. My hair is waist length and when a poo gets stuck at the bottom of the still "entrapped" hair, she runs and yips even more. The 'attached poo reaction' of course escalates the more she runs. The more she runs, the more the "attack poo" then hits her in the legs, back, and by far worst of all, the butt! (I'd say it scares the crap out of her, but that's not necessarily true )

LOL!!!!!!
What a thread.

Only dog folks would find this funny stuff!

LOLOLOL…these are funny and my dogs are now all happy that I have short hair!

[what more can I say]

I'm dying, just dying of laughter.. the ppls below are gonna murder me since it's 2 am!
Lycia has fallen victim to hair poo (it's not my fault I shed more than she does) as well, and she will scoot herself across the grass, bum planted and little feets stuck straight up to the sky…. she normally stops in this position and looks at me when she is finished - as if to say... "YOUUUUU!"
-
Sahara gets the hair in poo syndrome also. My hubby who is retired military has grown his hair long, and she somehow gets it in her mouth (probably when he hugs on her and his hair is all in her face, I hate it myself). Anyways, the first time she did the, Oh, what is that hanging from my butt run, I was just laughing myself to death. It was so darn funny, and I told DH that was another reason he should cut his hair. It hasn't worked yet, and she stills does the hair poop run every now and then.

I am glad Tosca is not the only one who does this! My only fear is that I don't know what to do if she doesn't manage to get it out…sometimes she has taken quite awhile and gets in SUCH a panic I don't know what to do with her! I am afraid to help her cause she gets so upset by it all, I don't want her to think I am the one causing the pain...luckily she has gotten it out ok in the end, but its still a bit scary (albeit funny) nontheless.

I usually take a stick & try to twirl the hair around it a few times & then pull it out…
The funny thing is, I use Andrew's screenname to post, but I'm not really. I'm his female counterpart, so sometimes I wonder if everybody realizes its a girl posting these things about long hair, etfc...
Also, when I first started dating Andrew, we came home one day to find his basenji mix, Bandit, with something hanging out of his butt. On closer inspection, Andrew realized it was a strip of fabric dangling from his butt!! He had to slowly & carefully pull it out, and then it was followed by a second strip of fabric! Bandit had chewed & eaten the hems from Andrew's pants that were partially torn off from dragging on the ground when Andrew walked. It was... a unique experience. -
We call them "Cling ons"….. gggg

We call them "Cling ons"….. gggg
Hahaha. We could probably create a whole new thread of dog related "funnies" that we humans make up to describe dog specific situations. Booger sometimes clicks his teeth together when smelling another dog or another dog's pee, and we say he's "speaking African."

Or looking for that bitch in season, neutered/spayed or not…. that is what they do...gggg

We call it the same!! The difference is that JR and I are from a slightly older generation and we say the "cling-on" poops are really from the 1980's Star Trek series…...Klingons, from the planet of Uranus:D
Andrew's female....try what I do. Capture the crazy Basenji in between your legs. Have paper towel ready for extraction . Pull slowly but steadily and the poop/hair/kleenex/ should come out.
Sorry you have the hair poop, but something in my neandertal brain says thank goodness I'm not the only one.

And I am from a "much" older generation.. way before 1980 Star Trek.. ggg
