I think I see some of the basenji ears, especially in the second picture. I just want to grab them and rub them good! 🙂 It's most likely that there is at least a black lab there too. Also it may be not the first "mix". If it is a generation over there may be more then one mix in there. But either way, Lilly is adorable! :):) It's awesome that she has a good forever home now.

Welcome, many of us are related by our Basenjis. Care to share who his breeder is or his pedigree?
-
Very cute. And very Basenji! Would be interesting to have you share the pedigree.
-
-
Do you not have his registration papers? With those, a world of info will be open.
-
Do you know if his sire and dam were DNA tested for Fanconi? If you did not get any information from the breeder about that, I would highly suggest that you have him DNA tested for Fanconi and PRA. It is a check swab that you do yourself. The results are on an open data base at www.offa.org
Here is the link to order the test https://www.ofa.org/diseases/dna-tested-diseases/fanconi-syndrome and https://www.ofa.org/diseases/dna-tested-diseases/basenji-praI would also suggest that you visit www.basenji.org and read up about health concerns for our breed

If Grizzly is from the breeder near Humble, Texas there is no testing done. You should have testing done yourself for peace of mind or to know what you might have to deal with in the future.
-
Now that's a basenji! Are you interested in using him to sire
-
Are you in Idaho?

Did you read that this beautiful dog has unknown pedigree? It would be utterly irresponsible to breed the dog, and shows a distinct lack of knowledge from you. Please, really do give basenjis the "constant love" you posted, learn about responsible breeding.
