@tanza @DonC thank you! i honestly don’t know his pedigree. Our breeder was a man from outside Dallas who didn’t give us much background info or keep in touch after we picked Grizzly up. Wish I knew though!

Do you know if his sire and dam were DNA tested for Fanconi? If you did not get any information from the breeder about that, I would highly suggest that you have him DNA tested for Fanconi and PRA. It is a check swab that you do yourself. The results are on an open data base at www.offa.org

If Grizzly is from the breeder near Humble, Texas there is no testing done. You should have testing done yourself for peace of mind or to know what you might have to deal with in the future.

Did you read that this beautiful dog has unknown pedigree? It would be utterly irresponsible to breed the dog, and shows a distinct lack of knowledge from you. Please, really do give basenjis the "constant love" you posted, learn about responsible breeding.
