Everyone vote … BRAT has dropped to # 12 

I hope someone can go and take a look and see if he might be PB. He is urgent but is not on the euth list yet. Jennifer

I sure wish someone could go down and look at these dogs. A couple of them sure look like the could be poorly bred b's. IMO.

I responded with our saga, just read the link above and it was good to see that my 'older country vet' was "right on" with Topper's treatments over the years. thanks for sharing that link,Debra.

She certainly does look pure - think it's wonderful that you may be taking her to BRAT, MacPack.

I sent the info to BRAT. Fingers crossed she will get into the system.

Yes, I sent an e-mail to Lori who handles the Basenji mixes and she sent an e-mail to the rescue. I did not see him listed under the Basenji mixes on the BRAT webpage though when I looked last week. Perhaps the rescue did not want to list him there. I would like him to at least go to a foster home. Jennifer

So happy to hear Pearl has a new home - the people on this site, and the rescue groups that frequent it, are so warm-hearted and helpful when a B needs to find a new home. It's uplifting to read about these things happening with so much garbage going on "out there"

She is a pretty girl. I have yet to have a b/w b. Maybe one day.

d'oh - and i didn't even have a glass of wine with dinner last night. oh well, maybe someone on this side of the pond will adopt. it would be helpful if pilgrams had come up with new names for towns. too late for that i guess.

A friend of ours talked to the woman with the 7 month old female today. The original owner was older, got her from a shelter (as a Jack Russell) and she was just too much energy. The current 'foster' took her to help the original owner, but she has several other dogs, the basenji has already escaped once. She has chickens, etc., and her husband wants her re-homed soon. I saw a (poor quality) photo and she looks pure basenji but has one drop-tipped ear and barks occasionally, she is intact still. No one I know is up for a youngster like this, but we are asking around. If anyone out there is interested,I'll help with transport.

Off topic, but did you get a new truck? I thought your other truck was blue? Anyway, this is a very handsome truck!! I must confess, whenever we're on the road, I look at every truck I pass hoping one day to see AJ peeking out the window! Now I'll know to concentrate on beautiful coppery colored ones. Terry
