If you will look under this heading at yodeldogs, you will find someone with four red and white pups and two adult basenjis that are available in the Atlanta area. These are beautifull Basenjis. I recently adopted an adult female from her and we are thrilled with her. I know it is a long trip, but believe me, it is worth it.

I wihs you best of luck too..don't know of any at the top of my head..but Denmark has a lot of basenjifolks..should you need a confidant..Norway and Finland..even Poland or Gemany might be good options..

Did you ever have any luck finding a breeder near Mississippi?

Everyone needs to be careful not to get taken in by Topdog Kennels. She has over 100 dogs of more than one breed. She does alot of false advertising and will sell pups under false pretences. I have had personal experience with them as well and want to warn all whom have dogs of any breed do not buy or sell Tammi Winkley or her family a dog. 😞

She has several kennel names such as Topdog Bloodhounds,Winkley Black n Tans, Redfern Redbones, and the one for Basenjis. Pass this on.

Thanks everyone for all this information! He is a gorgeous pup (face marked like my Topper) but he is very far away. Interestingly, I have a friend who lived in Russia many years ago and had a basenji, it would be funny if I wound up with a Russian Basenji. There are so many here that need homes, though….....

I know Sherry has 3 boys without homes yet, I think the other two girls are spoken for though.

Have you asked the breeder/breeders of the dogs you started with for recommendations? A breeder usually knows what would cross well with your animal and should be able to help you make a stud selection.

Lauren, I would contact Robyn/Yodel Dogs, to see if there is a match there? I don't think Robyn is willing to ship her dogs, and I totally understand why, but perhaps you know of a solution?

The other thought would be the Wimauma pack, perhaps contacting Pam Hamilton directly? Sometimes, applications get lost on servers…

I have never thought of his mischief as doing his chores, but yep, that seems to be exactly what he's doing 🙂
