I would say that if one had planned to get a pup before this all occurred, then perhaps it would be good timing, as it would give one the opportunity of spending more time with the pup in the crucial early days. Of course things will change and the routine will be different, but there are ways to ease into the new schedule so it isn't an abrupt shift from always being there to suddenly being absent.
Looking to adopt a grown Basenji
-
I'm looking to adopt a grown B. I have a large yard and live near a park. I live in the St Louis MO area. ANyone out there who needs to surrender their dog I would be interested in discussing the adoption.

I recommend you contact BRAT, there are always a few in the Missouri area available via BRAT. I belong to the RT 66 basenji club which is in St Louis, have you met any other basenji owners to find out more about the breed? Our club is having an eagle walk in Alton on 6 March, you are welcome to join us, let me know if you would like more info.

Adoption fees apply, but the dog you get will have been spayed/neutered and generally utd on shots.
