We are looking for young basenji or pup as a pet. We are family of three with teen aged child. WE live in a house with fenced in backyard in North West Florida. Would like to meet breeder(s) near by, don't mind the drive.
I just found out about Tucson last week nd this week we have company from out of town otherwise we would have gone. I will be checking with the two breeders I've found in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area. I'll keep looking for a rescue. Thx
Glad things are settling down for you. Now is a great time to get on breeders puppy lists. Go to the Basenji Club and contact breeders in states close enough for traveling to. If you're interested in a bit older, be sure to ask if they have any or know of another breeder who may have gotten a puppy back that didn't work out. Good luck in your search.
Also, check with Camp Basenji. Although she's in FL, she has homes up north and is willing to transport to the right home.
Contact her because she doesn't list most dogs on the site.
