BRAG Time !!!

I just wanted to have a bit of a brag for my 'kids' last Sunday ;)…

We have had 2 shows on the same day, am and pm shows...

I had the only 3 B's shown... AM show Ochre was BOB, and Java, (who was eligible for his first points at 6 months and 1 week), got his first points and beat Aunty Vanda for RUBOB... Then he went on to win best Minor Puppy in the Hound ring, beating about 4-5 other minors :D...

The Pm show was even better... I was very pleasantly surprised to see Java win BOB, beating Ochre who was Challenge, (best), Bitch, and was RUBOB... Then to top off a lovely day, Java was best Minor Puppy in the hound group again, AND Ochre won best Intermediate in the hound group as well 😃 😉 :p :)... So Java came home from the show with his first 14 points towards his Australian Championship title... Need 100 points with the last 25 needed after he turns 12 months...

Poor Vanda just wasnt fancied by the judges this weekend, and of course she was the one who needed the points, as Ochre is already an Australian Champion !!!

Then just to brag a little further, and it has NOTHING to do with the B's !!! Mr Saba has leased a stunning little 6 month old ACD bitch, and with very little work done to her, she was best Baby Puppy in the Working Dog ring, (I think its called Pastoral O/S), from a really nice lineup... She did it at both the AM and PM shows... She showed like a real pro too. I was very happy for him, and the Breeders are very happy with her debut into the showring down here in Tassie 😃

Lovely results all the way around - well done!

Congratulations to you , Orchre and Java. Sorry Vanda didn't win anything.
What do you mean by leased a Dog please ?

thunderbird8588, leasing a dog is done at bit all over the world, but it is quite common in Australia. The owners of this bitch have allowed us to 'lease' her for an indefinate amount of time. We have her here, train her, (well, when I put a bomb under Mr Saba's derriere !!!), feed her, pay Vet costs for routine things, (which reminds me I must get her Vaccinated ;)), pat her entry fee's for shows etc, etc… We paid her flights over here, the breeder pays the flights home. She will be going to the breeder when we go O/S, and if I can prise her away from the breeder, she will be coming back to us when we get home !!!

The agreement I have with her owners is that both parties have her till either,(1) we want to send her back, or (2) her owners want her back. What we will do is at a later stage we will get a bitch off these breeders possibly at some time late in this year, or early next year, for free, depending on their breeding plans.

Her owners are on notice to move fairly soon, depending on work, so for them to have 1 less dog to move is a bonus for them.

Hope that makes some sort of sense...

Thanks everyone for the lovely comments, Im such a proud Mummy, and its even a bigger thrill when you have bred them yourself :D…

No we didnt get any pics, cos the 'rules' down here are you really only get pics done for the larger shows, with International judges, or when you win a something under a breed specialist, (and even then its not really encouraged), or for BIS, RUBIS and all the Classes in Show, i.e. Best Baby in Show, Best Intermediate in Show etc, etc…
