My week with Lou and b's

Off Topic

  • We have spent a week up on Whidbey Is, Wa state area, and its been
fun. We have a cabin, rustic, but a bit of a view of the water.
Not to far from a beach where I can walk the dogs.
So, I am washing the dishes the first day there, and suddenly, my feet are wet.
The plumbing under the sink let go and water was everywhere…thankfully no b's were "hurt" by the dreaded water........
Saved by a couch to get up on...
Anyway, its been fun and the b's are trying to chase the rabbits and deer that are all over this island.

  • What fun! Are you able to let them run loose on the island? That would be worth living really rustic for awhile. Enjoy!

  • Sharron, so glad to hear that you, Lou and your b's are having a great little vacation. I've been on Whidbey Island. I just love the big wildnerness there. Such big green trees that smell so full of life.

Enjoy the rest of your vacation, my friend.

  • Sharron, so glad the b's didn't have to be airlifted!!!!!

Love Whidbey Island. Piece of interesting trivia: It is the 2nd longest Island in the US, after Kodiak Island in Alaska.

Enjoy the rest of your vacation!!!

  • The b's loved the rental..the sun woke me up at 6am, and when I had to leave the dogs, they went upstairs to lay on the bed in the sun..
Much joy was had by all!

  • I am envious:)

  • Thanks! I am headed to the basenji national in Co tomorrow.
I hope I can get some folks to take photos of Wheat for me.
    I love to share her…

  • Glad you're all enjpying your holiday. I'm looking forward to seeing more (and more) photos of Miss Wheat.

  • Any Whidbey photos?

  • Sharron, enjoy your time at the Nationals with Miss Wheat!

@Natalplum: You both are in my thoughts. I hope your DH comes home safe and healthy. You will NEVER be lonely with your B's around. They are the best to call on for some love and comfort. Not to mention a lot of laughs! That's the best thing having a B brought into my life. I was so depressed, and then along came a B to make me laugh again. Worth their weight in gold, for sure….

@Maya: If you're living in Holland, you need a Friesian!!! :D I have the most wonderful friesian, her temperment is amazing. She's not even 3 yet but she is just so sweet and gentle!! But, do keep us updated. I've had horses since i was 3 and they are a huge part of my life. I couldnt be without them even though im not as involved in the horse world as i once was!! P.S. I have some photos from a show over here in the UK with shires in their traditional plaits and tack if anyone is interested in seeing them. Its just amazing!! Yes!! I love to see the pictures!!! I like the Friesian horses but it's not a breed wich can used for lots of things, they are to special i think :D I like the Friesian for shows and as a barouche horse (is it a good word?) I once ride a Friesian and it's different with riding a normal or western horse. They make larger steps and it's very comfortable riding! A friend of us breeds the Friesian :D @moetmum: That sounds exciting, hope it all goes to plan. Our neighbouring farmer used to breed shire horses, they don't breed now but still have loads of horses. They go to loads of shows, they were sponsored by a local brewery. The horses are fascinated by the basenjis, and always want to come and have a look! the b's aren't keen when they snort at them though. I have never heard of a horse milking farm before!! Wow!!! If it was a little bit near Holland, I really would come over to met you and take a look at the shires next door :D:D We're don't going to live in Holland :D In Germany they have also some very nice breeds Hannoveraan, holsteiner (i don't know the english names…0
